maxg
"I was in the grocery store yesterday, and stopped to look at a display of Valentine's Day gifts. There was a stack of "Celine" perfume, and seeing that got me to thinking. Was that a perfume designed by Ms. Dion, or did it smell like her? Canadian bacon?" That is regular Ethyl for you. All she buys is Celine's perfume and laxatives... Canadian Bacon is a bit harsh - Canadian Ham is probably more appropriate - but I still dont have a problem with her voice. I bought 2 redbboks and 5 SACD this AM. It was $18 cheaper than towerrecords.com was for the same titles.

Klipsch RF7
How does the James Taylor SACD's sound? Are they pretty lively and detailed? I was thinking of picking up a few of his as well. Also, how does that Pink Floyd sound? Is it sort of like rock?

Klipsch RF7
Piranha, There is no Madhousedisc.com??? Do you have the exact URL? Also, why the heck is it so difficult to get the Madonna Immaculate collection SACD?? I mean amazon doesnt stock it, and you have to put in an order to see if someone has a used one. Towerrecords.com doesnt even list the SACD version on thier site, its like it is rare or something and I really want that album on SACD!! Parrot
James Taylor is one of relatively few pop artists who has really gotten into SACD and especially multi channel SACD. Many artists either let the record company engineers do what they want, or just give final approval to a new mix, but don't actively take part in the new version themselves. Taylor, on the other hand, is actively involved. His multi channel mixes have his voice predominately in the center channel, which is great, and the releases are quality all the way around. That said, I personally preferred James Taylor in 1969-1971 more than I do now, so I've bought only one of the new SACDs, "JT."
Klipsch RF7
Thanks PaulParrot, I have added October road and Hour Glass to my list for James Taylor. Here is my shopping cart so far, tell me what you think http://www.towerrecords.com/wishlist/wishlistDisplay.aspx?listid=BeFsJokRba8GKY2SHaCQ4Q%3d%3d
Parrot
I have the Friday Night, Getz/Gilberto, Come Away With Me, and Forget About It SACDs and they are all first class. I've heard a few of the others at a friend's house. If you were buying things I liked, you'd be buying all the Dylan SACDs, all the Rolling Stones SACDs, and more classical from obscure labels. I'd never dream of buying Diana Krall or Celine Dion, for instance. But that's what makes the world go 'round. My next SACD purchases are going to be: Leo Kottke "6- and 12-String Guitar," which I listened to when it first came out way back in 1969. And the Bartok, Dvorak, Mahler releases seen here: http://elusivedisc.com/products.asp?dept=

Parrot
Will do. Some I will list I have not yet heard, but I expect based on other people's opinions too, that they will not disappoint. I won't be able to post a direct link to my cart because elusivedisc doesn't have a unique URL for each individual order.
