Marvel
I don't know who bumped this up, but thanks! Dennis, Do you still have the JBL 2346 horns? Or was it a different model? I have some 2365A horns, but they are a little too large for my living room. Bruce
djk
"Do you still have the JBL 2346 horns" Yes, but they are for 1" drivers, and while quite shallow they are wide. What are you trying to do with these horns (I have a huge variety)?
Marvel
I'm looking at a design similar to Claude's quarterpie, but upright, using a smaller woofer, to give a look that is narrower to the listener. Those horns should allow, if I understand correctly, a fairly large, wide sweet spot, but not have a lot of reflections off the side walls. I would use as a three way.I would make a truncated horn, to make a vertical, rectangular box, woofer on top firing down, with one reflector in the bottom. Maybe also try on top of the LS cabinets I have been working on.I would use a 1 inch driver (K55, EV 1828R, which I have). Or get something else...Bruce Edited March 21, 2015 by Marvel
