sire
Purchased the above TT some time around 1976. Been in the attic for numerous years. Rubber covering over spring feet are gone. Have not done LPs since the 80s. I thnk I spent around $200 for it in 1976 Is this TT worth the hassle of trying to sell on Ebay? If it is only worth $50 or less, I am not sure I want to go through the effort. Might be easier just to pawn it. Mike
dodger
My advice would be to pawn it. If the rubber from the feet has given enough to drop off, chances are any rubber inside may be problematic. I err on very cautious side. dodger
Cal Blacksmith
I agree with Dodger, if it has started down hill it is time to pawn it. Direct drive tts don't sell for that much anyway. There is a problem with them having lots of rumble from the bearings in the motor, they have been that way since day
3dzapper
Donate it to Goodwill or the SA and get a tax deduction. You won't get as much pawning it as you would on ebay IMHO. Rick

Islander
Direct drive tts don't sell for that much anyway. There is a problem with them having lots of rumble from the bearings in the motor, they have been that way since day 1 Priced a new Technics, Teres Certus or Grand Prix Audio Monaco lately? Or heard any of those? Repeating a myth doesn't make it true. The Technics is not in the same price range as those other two, but their prices are not low right now by any means.Having said that, the OP's long-neglected 'table may be worth very little. Sansui did have a good name back in the day.
ctcapone
I can't say that's true.......pick up a Technics SL-1210MKII. I use that daily for the cartridge Pickering UV-15/D200Q. Yes, I still play quad LP's. Still being used today!
