Thank you.

I had spoke w/ the seller BEFORE the auction ended.

I even offered him $1500,...which he declined !

His mistake !

I will now step back and let the seller do his thing.

Thank you for the reassurance.

I paid him $120 for double-boxed packaging and

shipping from Loiuisiana to Texas !!!

If you live in Texas, and he lives in Louisiana, consider making a drive to pick them up. I know it's a hassle, but I'll bet your handling is better than FedEx/UPS/USPS. Hell, I drive 11 hours to my Mac tech when I need to see him - no more subjecting my vintage Macs to shipping!

Just a thought, if the seller will let you do this......

I used this idea when I shipped my Mapletree preamp overseas. I also used bubble wrap and peanuts. It took me three attempts to get the packing right and keep the shipping costs within reason.

Be patient, a good packing job is more important than a rush job, even though you want the amps yesterday.

I completely agree! Patience is a virtue and virtues are awkward. Be glad he will send them eventually!2.gif Trust me, I know, cause I received this mapletree in pristine condition. Thanks again, Don.

Craig:

Let the seller pack them up well for you. Those amps are classic, perfectly functioning 'antques' that deserve some real TLC if they are going to make a trip to Texas in the hands of UPS, FedEx, or whomever it is that will do the handling.

The guy who packed the Baldwin for you went to great lengths to make sure the amp arrived in good shape -- building a wooden crate, with the amp screwed down and padded in place.

You've got another amplifier -- that home-made one -- to look forward to in the meantime, and the MC-30s are sure to follow pretty closely behind those.

I haven't gotten home to open the boxes.

If the "little fishermen" come with it,

I will keep them together w/ the MC-30's for nostalgia.

I am so glad you are enjoying the Big Left Turn "Dreamship" cd.

Track # 5 " New Boy Sound " ...opens w/ a 16-Bar open drum solo.

This was a song was fun to write.

It was written starting off w/ the influence of Trapeze,

the band w/ Glenn Hughes .

(one of my favorite rock vocalists)

I am definitley up to something, recording and tour wise

and may have some interest from an Italian record label for my next release.

I will keep everyone posted on that !
