tommyboy
I'm moving, and am gonna need some speaker wire. I have all synergy speakers. I was wondering if 16 gauge wire is good enough, or should I go with a larger gauge?
Daddy Dee
IMO 16ga is adequate. If you like, no harm to go with bigger wire.
theryugobuddy
The 12 gauge from Home Depot is great stuff--if they still have it--
cyclonecj
I bought a couple rolls of this when I built the systems for my school. I liked it so much, I bought a few more rolls for me. Very nice wire, very flexible, obvious color coding. Parts Express 14 gauge Or you can click here & scroll down. There are 2, 3, & 4 conductor wires in different sizes. minn_male42
the attached pdf from the belden website shows you the percentage of power loss over distance of the different gauge wires so... yes... 16 gauge should be fine unless you are running HUGE distances 122.pdf
