colterphoto1
Consider contacting Joesportster, he's got a pair of beautiful Cornwalls! Maryland is in the midwest, isn't it??? LOL Michael
joessportster
laugh if you will michael but i would make that drive for that trade, although i would have to trade my oak black laquer 1977 set for them as i just sold the blonde set, to a local fellow forum member. so what do you say want a set of oak black laquer 1977 all original corns in very good shape. wish you would have posted this last monday i was just out to kansas city and could have easily made the deal HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO FOR A PAIR OF HERITAGE? with me the limits have yet to be met. although i havent cought up with michael yet. so you know i am serious i would make the trip for the deal and may even throw in a little cash to you Joe
spaaaz
yes a black pair of 77s would be nice if they are in nice shape
Deang
Mike, if you wouldn't mind sharing -- what are you hearing with those Scalas that has you pursuing this trade? I'm especially curious about your comment relating to "listening habits". Is the top end too hot?
D-MAN
Or is the low-end too "not"? Sorry, couldn't resist! DM
spaaaz
Well for me the high end is to hot,to forward and in your face.the corns seem a little more laid back and easy going.but if you crank them up with some rock such as police or metallica, megadeth etc the corns bass does it for me. Deang
This seems to be a characteristic of the LaScala regardless of the network. Just think, I mellowed yours out. I dropped your squawker to tap 3, and set your tweeter up with a -3db fixed L-pad. What are you using for an amp? Do you like to listen REAL LOUD? spaaaz
yes I like it pretty loud they are wonderfull at low to medium but get a bit grating with some rock at higher volumes, they are much much better than with the ALs in them ,using a 299c tweaked by the Craigmiester
joessportster
where are you in illinois, i want to see what the milage is so i can figure a cost to pick these up and deliver the corns, i will send some pics via email if you email me first at (joespride@gmpexpress.net), my service guy that set up my cable modem has my email screwed up and everytime i try to send an email i have problems but i can reply with no problems Joe

aviserated
Your hard tile floor does not help the problem you are having with brightness. Hard floors can sound too lively I have read. Good old thick carpet flooring might help them sound more listenable.
spaaaz
the room they are being used in is wall to wall carpet
ben.
How are you enjoying the Scott? I hope it has found a happy home. I think Craig recommends some time on those new caps before they mellow out a bit, too.
spaaaz
The Scott is awesome,Craig did the whole enchilada on it
Deang
That doesn't really sound all that promising. I wouldn't let him eat any of that crap around my stuff.
