Daddy Dee
Thanks for the heads up. Not that I'm in the market... but it is nice to see a classic piece of gear like that. It will be interesting to see what it closes for at end of auction.

Speedball
Check that old speaker out! Man, they sure don't make things like they used to, wonder if it sounds like any other Klipsch speaker made today?
CaptnBob
Actually, they do show up from time to time, but rarely in pairs. What's killing on these is the shipping. By the way, I'm pretty sure the seller has it wrong - all the Georgans I've seen carried 15" woofers. He seems to be describing early Patricians, which had the 18"
ajsons
CaptnBob, I think youre right! The Georgian also has a single mid driver not two.
ajsons
The Patrician has two of those tubular horn sections firing into the rear of the midhorn as described in the "review".. Armando
ajsons
I tried the Georgian midhorns on my K-clones. They sounded real good when music is played. When used as a TV speaker, voices sounded split, or cracked. I believe it is caused by the phase difference between the short horn in front and the bigger midhorn itself. It is not noticeable when playing music, at least to my ears.
seti
It is a little rough but beautiful. I have decided that I want a used single older khorn or one of the licensed builds like this for my living room. I rarely watch TV and I hate the small speakers in them and since I don't plan on a home theater I would like a khorn instead. Since I live in Arkansas I was hoping a classified ad that read "looking for older large klipsch speaker" may yeild some results. There must be some older klipsch speakers sitting around in this state looking for a new home.
fini
uh oh...45 miles from me...I'd better get C&S on the horn ;^). This would be perfect for a dedicated mono system!
