Larry1
Didn't some people on here say Serenity was good? IT SUCKED!!!!! It was OK on DVD. The CGI was not $$$, but the story was at least somewhat orginal. For fans of the series it least closed off the story.

Good story, good special effects, funny. I can't see what's wrong with this movie! Saw "War of the World" finally tonight. Good movie, except it ends too suddenly, without reason or much explanation, or without anyone having to figure out anything.
toddvj
I thought it was really good, and I never even watched the series.
sfogg
Peter, If you haven't watched 'Firefly' you should check that out too. Shawn
psg
Yeah, I missed it when it was on-air. Maybe I should buy it on DVD; they must have released it.
jacksonbart
Jeff, don't suger coat it, tell how you really feel?
ranjith
I liked Serenity, and more so because I watched Firefly once in awhile. That fight scene at the bar like place was nuts man! Summer Glau can bend and twist allright.
Paul
Was ok i guess, but really I had more enjoyment eating my popcorn[]
sfogg
" Maybe I should buy it on DVD; they must have released it." Yu, the whole series is available on DVD. I think it is around $25. If you liked the movie you will very likely love the series. Shawn
Kriton
Uh, I liked it...I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised. Hit me like an extended TV pilot or something. Now if you want to talk about a show I miss that is the standard by which all of these movies of this genre should/are compared, I miss FARSCAPE the most. I have watched all of the season DVDs and the Peacekeeper Wars, and still believe that was a fantastic show nobody watched...IMHO. Farscape makes Serenity seem rather amateurish in comparison, I thought; enjoyable none-the-less. K
sfogg
"Farscape makes Serenity seem rather amateurish in comparison, I thought; enjoyable none-the-less." Not really the same comparison. One had multiple seasons to develop story lines the other had to fit everything into a 2 hour movie. Better comparison would be Firefly and Farscape... though of course Firefly still got cut off after only 13 episodes. (A very stupid move.....) Larry1
"Farscape makes Serenity seem rather amateurish in comparisonShawnWell Stargate Altantis makes Farscape which makes Serenity seem rather amateurish in comparison [] Your two favorite actors from Farscape are now involved with Stargate Altantis. Its sad they didn't flesh out the preacher story from Firefly in Serenity (provide some answers to his mysterious background), but other then that River still reminded me a bit too much of Buffy the vamipre slayer in fighting the reavers. Kriton
Actually I *intended* to compare the Farscape TV show to Serenity the movie, I think that the production values of Farscape every week show were as good as the Serenity movie. Frankly, I have never been able to get into any of the iterations of Stargate, I thought the original movie lame (especially when he pulls out the candy bar - paid label endorsement - to give to the desert dwellers... but the guy who played the he-she in "Crying Game" was a hoot - and I just expected him to whip it out, couldn't get the picture out of my head ) - and the subsequent Stargate episodes just haven't grabbed me either - makes me even more sorry to see Farscape and Firefly go... Tried to watch Claudia Black and Ben Browder episode of Stargate, just didn't work for me...turned the channel. I know there are a lot of fans of Stargate, I just don't get it...my poor opinion of course. K
ranjith
Anyone watch Battlestar Galactica?
customsteve01
I like the new Battlestar Galactica, I tivo every new episode. Still haven't watched the season finally so don't ruin it for me. The only thing is that they are taking too long to get anywhere. I also miss Farscape. Steve
