I didn't vote because I don't know the name of the one that starred Sean Connery that was made after Roger Moore when Connery was a little older. It's the one with Kim Basinger. I like it because to me Connery was James Bond and it was like a breath of fresh air when he decided to star as Bond again.[:)]

That would be 'Never Say Never Again' and I never will

I went with Golden Gun because of the memories. My dad was back in the country for a visit and we popped up a big bag of popcorn and went to the drive in to see it. The stunts were good, the movie was fun. I also liked Living Daylights because Dalton played a Bond much closer to how the character was written in the novels.

I vote for Goldfinger. It has some nuggets reflecting the times back then.

The '64 Mustang was new.

Laser's were new.

Note the swipe at The Beatles. ". . . . like listening to The Beatles without earmuffs." Who'd have thought that he was talking about the man who would become Sir Paul.

Frisbies were new too. They were introduced at the '64 Worlds Fair in NYC. I recall coming down to the ground floor of the Good Housekeeping pavilion. There were two guys on a big area throwing one back and forth. Maybe that inspired Oddjobs metal rimmed bowler.

Thuderball was good too. It followed the trend of underwater themes. Skin diving was a new matter of popular interest.

BTW, "Never Say Never Again" was the return of the older Connery. It was a remake of Thunderball as I recall.

One of best parts of the earlier films was the music by John Barry. Of course he did a lot of good stuff in the following years. I particularly like the music to Body Heat. You can detect a wiff if the smokey background themes.

Apparenly the Flemming books were not selling too well until JFK stated he read them. Book sales took off. Movies followed. They were very racy in their day.

I was just watching Thunderball last night...ANYTHING with Sean Connery (my favorite Bond) but the others did a good job as well...Brosnan has done a great job lately...changing with the times...

Do you expect me to talk, Goldfinger???

No, Mr. Bond...I expect you to die!

great stuff!
