Hey BobG,

Is there nothing done to the cross-over????

or is it the new monster cable that makes the difference in sound???

Is there in fact a difference in sound or is the internal monster cable just a cosmetic upgrade.

yes, I would like to know whether you can get a pair of RF-3II in cherry for the North American market.

it's a low-cost option that would bring so many more customers to Klipsch...

I know of a couple customers that went with another brand because they thought the RF-5s were too expensive, and they wanted another finish than crappy black.

seems they are reviewing the RF3II (from the picture) in that review (http://www.tnt-audio.com/casse/klipsch-rf3_e.html) and they say the cherry finish is available. seems to be an italian review though.

Okay, now at our store we have a new entry under Klipsch, and it is the Klipsch RF II cherry, retailing at the same price the RF-3s retail at.

Could it be that Klipsch is going to offer the RF3 II in cherry on the North American market?? It's odd that they don't put a number designation though, but I guess telling from the price it has to be a 3, not a 5 or 7. And no, we don't have any in stock.

well I don't know, we have none in stock, not even in the warehouse... maybe it's just a bogus entry, I don't know. nobody I asked knew about it.

and about the price, if that is not a big mistake, it seems to be the same as the regular black finish.

I just noticed, BobG lists "New wood finishes" as one of the changes for the MkII ref 3 series... That would seem to confirm everything... Could we get an official Klipsch confirmation/denial? I'm about to buy my RF-3s, I don't want to buy the black ones a couple weeks before the cherry ones arrive!

The RF-3MkII's are available in black vinyl wrap only in the US and Canada (just like the RF-3's were). When BobG mentioned "New Wood Finishes" on the "MkII" he was referring to the RB-5MkII only which now comes in Natural Maple, Medium Cherry, and Black Ash. The new Reference models with their new corresponding model numbers (therefore no MkII designation needed) RF-7, RF-5,RC-7, RB-3 and RSW-15 are also available in Natural Maple, Medium Cherry and Black Ash. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go answer other questions we, apparently, don't like to answer (tongue firmly and deeply implanted into cheek).

well, it would be expensive, I don't know why you'd really want to do that...

we are authorized, so the warranty will be the same, but the taxes and the shipping would most likely make for an expensive purchase...

zandern,

You better buy Klipsch in the US of A,american products are less expensive in the USA.

Its like I would order a Canadian product from the USA???!!!??? I dont think so,the middle man, transport, taxes and all would make this a very weird purchase.

When you buy local gear you always pay less, unless the dealer is a SOB and thinks he can sell full retail.I never buy full retail and NEVER will.
