RIGGED25
In this picturehttp://forums.klipsch.com/forums/storage/4/240671/dedicated%20AC.JPG it appears that the woofer of the Chorus II is larger than the Cornwall. Don't they both use 15" woofers? Thanks, RIGGED
RTTR
That's intresting, I'm pretty sure both use a 15"
Olorin
It is an interesting illusion. I put it in Photoshop and drew some guides and did some measurements, and the cones are the same diameter. The Cornwall has a much larger face, and that makes the woofer smaller in proportion. It also looks like the Chorus woofer's surround is also thicker than the Cornwall's, and that adds a small amount to the cutout, making the speaker look larger. jerohm
One is front mounted and the other is rear mounted (covering up some of what is visible on the Chorus II ). Speakers are usually (??) measured to the outer diameter of the frame, not the cone/surround.
ironwoods
It may give that illusion because the Cornwall has the driver fastened from the backside of the motorboard, whereas the Chorus is mounted to the frontside, so you're not seeing the flanged part on the CW. A good illusionist would keep this under their hat.
jt1stcav
Nevermind the woofer size...I'm curious as to why there's a replica of a huge wall outlet behind the Cornwall and the B&W monitor!?[:^)]
DrWho
Nevermind the woofer size...I'm curious as to why there's a replica of a huge wall outlet behind the Cornwall and the B&W monitor!?[:^)] lol, I didn't even notice until you pointed it out. Here's another picture - with a chorus II, cornwall, marantz 940 (12" woofer) and heresy Pardon the crappy quality. The pic was taken with a webcam. RIGGED25
Thanks for ya'lls opinion. Next week, I have to make a difficult decision between the two. I thought about getting the Khorns but my current room of living room's windows would shatter at the thought of having such decibles thrown at them. DrWho
What kind of music do you listen to? If you're more into midrange purity then go with the Chorus. If you want more bass then go with the cornwall. I've had the two side by side and know that you will be happy with either. At times it was difficult to tell them apart and at other times one would shine on one style of music more than another. I'd say the chorus II is technically a better speaker, but the cornwall is a lot more forgiving of bad recordings.
RIGGED25
I listen to a variety of music ranging from country to rock with an occasional dose of jazz. I wish I could hear them face off ; that would simplify things. I'm leaning towards the Cornwall at this moment. Thanks, RIGGED
Olorin
Ya know, the Houston area has GOT to have some Klipscheads that would let you hear some stuff. You might try starting a "Want to Audition" type thread up and see if anyone can help you out. It's hard to overstate the value of hearing them first, because which is better really is going to come down to taste.

I'd say the chorus II does better with female singers, piano, more classical/new age type of stuff... Though the cornwall is probably the best choice for you, I wouldn't pass up this excuse to go hear them for yourself.
DRBILL
Here is another one on the home page for Klipsch: The speakers in the Reference IV appear to me as being wrong-side-out with the dust covers closest to the viewer. DRBILL
RIGGED25
An audition thread eh? That sounds like a splendid idea, thanks, I'll do that. Now I'm pondering the Cornwall vs the Khorn, I mean sooner or later I'll move to a bigger place right? I'm tapping the 401 for a 5yr loan and I want to make sure I get the best sound for my money. Thanks again fellas. RIGGED
