IndyKlipschFan
great movie... go 1.26 into it, and hear the Diva sing at full volume...wow...I was blown away!!!! A Must for a DVD collection. But darn, double darn,,,, If I ever really wanted to see a movie with "out takes" , deleted scenes, and a directors cut, etc., etc., this is one of a few I would have LOVED to have seen it on it. The movie was shot in various looks from futuristic space scenes, to stage sets that really seem real even in slo mo. The sound track too is very vibrant and again the Diva singing is a must.. What did you think????
Kilowatter
Excellent movie!!! I just purchased the Superbit DVD version at the local Walmart and all I can say is...WOW!!! Superb audio and visual!!! In my opinion it is a noticable improvement over standard DVDs. This movie really put my home theater system to work. It has well balanced 5.1 audio with a wide dynamic range that isn't overpowering. I highly recommend this movie in the Superbit format. ------------------ Denon AVR-3802 Tangent 5000 mains Tangent 1000 rears Tangent Center Theater Sanyo DS31590 31" TV Panasonic A120U DVD Sony SLV-N71 Hi-Fi VCR RCA Satellite System

Wild Blue
Based on the discussion of DVD's to show off your system (started by yours truly) I ordered this one on Amazon in the Superbit collection. It actually got some so-so reviews in the original DVD release, but you're right, the Superbit is supposed to be awesome. When I listened to the Aria in the theater, it was great... on my Klipsch system it should be incredible.

Wild Blue
Excellent article, Kilowatter! Thanks! I didn't know some of that stuff. Well, we've reached the point where now I'm actually replacing DVD's that I've already bought with newer, better versions, like Air Force One and Super Speedway. I wonder how much worse this is going to get, where maybe I will be pressed to replace my entire collection every few years. I guess you hit a point of diminishing returns, someday. To guard against it, I only buy good-quality remixes of movies, in anamorphic format. If it isn't anamorphic, I'm not buying it, no matter what it is. (except maybe Wizard of Oz or something)

justin_tx_16
the only thing i have seen or heard from the 5th element is the diva song. does anyone know her name? ------------------ -justin I am an amateur, if it is professional help you want email Amy or call her toll free @ 1-888-554-5665
ShapeShifter
The voice on "The Diva Dance and Arial" tracks was sung by opera singer Inva Mula-Tchako. She's a soprano born in Tirana, Albania in 1963. She has also performed live on the "The First Placido Domingo International Voice Competition -- Gala Concert" CD. ShapeShifter
-justin, You posted at near the same time. Here's a link to it at cdnow.com, it's $11.97. Just a CD of international opera singers who performed at his vocal competition. http://www.cdnow.com/cgi-bin/mserver/SID=1440302038/pagename=/RP/CDN/CLASS/muzealbum.html/itemid=318196 Wes ------------------ "KLIPSCH IS MUSIC"f>
ShapeShifter
That used price looks good at amazon.com. The cdnow reviewer didn't give the disc a very good rating. Perhaps, because the artist were pretty much unknowns? Regards, Wes ------------------ "KLIPSCH IS MUSIC"f>
