chevis
That aient too bad,,I guess,,by the way I purchased these in 1992 for $1,000....my first time to even have any dealings with a speaker of this caliber. So far they have given me ZERO problems and it was money well spent,,,,to me anyway Thanks
chevis
The reason I say not bad,,because I have known that this was about the time that most stereo gear was peaking in quality.I'm a Marantz collector.I also have these set up right now with a Sansui QRX-7001 and I'm now shopping for a good rear set of speakers to go along with these.I don't want 4 KornerHorns,,but maybe a set of Cornwalls or LaScalla's,,something in that range.I might even try my hand at building a set of speakers..I been looking at the Cornscala's that one of the forum members built.I can get Dave at Speakerworks here in Tulsa to help me out in the details..I can do woodwork with the best of them,,almost professional cabinet quailty if you ever seen my entertainment centers. I could think of things I bought in 1992 for 1000 bucks or more that I would have given up for a pair of late seventies K-horns. I think you have the k-55-v mid driver. Klipsch went back to the atlas driver and now calls it the k-55-x. the k-55-x is identical to the k-55-v. only diff is the k-55-x is made in texas, and the k-55-v was made in NJ. Colin
Thank goodness somebody else made the stupid jokes first, because I cant resist: yes, Ill date your big ole horns, but you have to pay me, and then I will invite them to live with me. I will make them do loud and nasty during the day; soft and sultry with candles late at night too!
