Me Loves Khorns
How far is Iowa from central Texas? My wife loves them. I have an older pair now. Would you consider shipping or would that be prohibitively expensive. If you have any ideas, let me know. My wife is currently telling me that "those are the most beautiful speakers I have ever seen" Thanks, Paul

Takes so long just to get out of Texas. [] I would guess it would be between 700-1000 miles. Bruce

rigma
Paul, I just bought a pair of LaScalas from Scott and had 'Crate and Freight' pick them up at his house and wrap and band to a pallet ($200 could be less as they had about a 120 mi round trip to get them) Then had Fedex Freight truck them about 500 mi to their terminal ($125.00 using my company account) They arrived without a scratch. $1,200 is a great price for these, you should grab them. bhendrix
Paul, It's 955 miles from Waco to Cedar Rapids. Go north on I-35 to I-80 and turn east. You should be able to do a round trip in two days. Just a short weekend jaunt.
steamer
Paul, I can check on some prices with local shippers, and would deliver to them in my local area.I would guess ground frieght is the cheapest. The packaging I spoke of for $350 was to China and maybe more than normal because of it.The $600 mentioned earlier was figuring in that $350.I do remember something about $125ea. for transit in the past.Sounds like it would be in the ballpark. Moderators Travis In Austin Posted June 24, 2006 Moderators Share Posted June 24, 2006 Paul, Maybe you can get Steamer to dive them a few hours Texas way and we can meet him sort of half way, or 3/4 way. I will drive to Waco and help you road trip it out there if you want. That is an excellent price, you won't be able to beat that, and they sure are purdy. I just sold my Laq. Birch ones, I would have never sold them if they were in black and looked like those. Please let me know whatever I can do to help you get those. Me Loves Khorns
Man, what a kind offer. I am trying to decide if I can swing the $1200 and if I can take the time off to drive up there. I'll let you know if I can. by the way, were you able to make it up to Hope? Thanks again, Paul

colterphoto1
'Nother bumperino for Steamer. These LS have been well cared for by a great Forum member gang. He is fair to deal with and these really need a great home. If you don't know the story, Steamer was very happy with these in his setup, he just wanted to use different mid horns and decided not to butcher these but instead purchased one set of LSI bass bins from me. Please help find them a good home! Michael
