tidmack
Hi guys, If you saw this post in the mods section too, it's because I'm dumb and don't know how to post in 2 channel the first time. Summer has kept me from the board for a while. . .mostly working on cars. I'm pretty excited about my '70 SS 454 Monte Carlo on eBay. . .yeah, I pretty much just said that to plug the auction (no shame!) Anyways, last winter I came up with the idea to order some Cornwall III's for a home theatre project. In the end, I bought a sub for my LaScalas and am in audio bliss. . .for now at least. I have a pair of walnut Cornwall III's still in the boxes. $2500 and they're yours. Drop me an email at tidmack@yahoo.com as I probably won't lurk around the board too much until the weather cools down. ttyl Jeff

tidmack
Bill, Clarence is referring to my pm to him earlier in the year when I got the speaks. He was looking for Corns and I let him know I had them. I haven't been in a hurry to sell, as I thought I may end using these in the rec room. . .but the horn loaded sound of the LaScalas has me hooked and I most likely wouldn't use them for a while. oldbuckster
Have you used them at all?
DizRotus
Don't forget. The vault is available to safely ship these Cornwalls. See Cornwall Vault and Wanted empty BEATER enclosures.
fini
Neil, These Corns are "in the box," so I doubt they'd fit in the crate. I could be wrong, though. Maybe the boxes they come in are ship-ready? It would seem so, since that's how Klipsch ships 'em. Say that 10 times real fast...
tidmack
Boxes are 41" X 28 1/2" X 18 1/2". Hope this helps.
Chicago_Pete
Nice 454 Monte Carlo. That must be more painful to sell than the Cornwalls? Pete
tidmack
Pete, It stinks to let the Monte go, I've wanted a legit '70 SS 454 since I was 15. With only about 3800 made, they're not easy to come by. But. . .there's some land here in town I have my eye on and the car would provide some extra down payment cash. We'll see what happens. . . Clarence
Tidmack How can these possibly be the same Cornwalls you sold on eBay for $2100, then sold for $2500, and now have on KlipchKorner.com for $2500, each with a different story? Doesent make sense to me. The story behind them is different every time. Explain? C
tidmack
Clarence, I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but if you're questioning my integrity, you should probably chill out. If you recall, I bought a pair of Cornwalls and my buddy bought a pair. I never opened mine because they were for a home theatre project that was still in the mix. He wanted to see how his Corns sounded with my Mac stuff and I had a chance to listen for about a week on my system. He ended up not really digging the Corns and I put them on eBay for him. My pair is still boxed and hasn't been sold. In the meantime, I bought a pair of Ultras and am completely happy with my LaScalas and subs. I can't get over a completely horn loaded speaker, and in the end, prefer LaScalas over Cornwalls. Uh oh, did that just open another LaScala/Cornwall debate? Have a beer man- Jeff
