I used to have an account here a few years ago, but didnt post much (if

at all, I cant really remember)...Anyway, Ive been a Klipsch fan for

years (good friend had a Klipsch system) and yesterday I finally got my

1st ever pair of Klipsch speakers delivered to my door.

Picked up a pair of brand new cherry RF-35s from an authorized

dealer online for $400 (plus $55 shipping for the pair from Mass to

Fla). Ive got a Denon 1603 driving them (receiver upgrade will come

after the surround system is complete). Im loving the sound from these

babies after running some old Cerwin Vegas for the last 7 years.

Just wanted to say howdy, and I just had to brag somewhere about my

recent purchase. Ill post more on my setup (which is a work in

progress) later. Its late and I need to hit the sack after

tinkering with my new toys all night.

The biggest improvement you can make is to upgrade your amplifier.

Denon makes some great stuff, but their lower end receivers are made in China and sound like CRAP (I had a 1804 for about a day before I took it back).

Get yourself a decent amp or receiver and you will be astounded by what your system can do.

Its definately on the list but Id rather have this amp with a Klpsch

system until I can afford a new amp rather than a new amp without the

Klipsch system.

Its like night and day compared to my old mains. Im lovin it.

Don't be bashin' the C-Vs too much. I still have a 25 year old pair that I drag out of the basement to run in my outdoor theater. Powered by the same age 20 watt Sony receiver. That duo fills ours and neighboring backyards with kickin' soundtracks. Even after 4 years of extreme college parties!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

But that is just a novelty, for serious movie watching/listening, I retire to the finished part of the basement and my beloved Klipsch set-up.

Michael

That's a great price for RF-35s!!

Just to warn you, I bought RF-25s brand new, then sold them 6 months later for RF-7s. Now RF-83s have come out. Good news for me is that I hope to keep my wife around for as long as I can so if I even mention the thought of getting new speakers I better have my suitcase packed in advance! [:D]
