jheis
Much as I despise Adam Sandler - or anyone who would cast him in anything - he is head and shoulders above Pauly Shore. Any one who had anything to do with any movie this moron was in should be taken out and shot. James
Moderators Amy Posted August 18, 2006 Moderators Share Posted August 18, 2006 Hey, I liked Punch Drunk Love! [] I'm usually alone in this, but I think the worst movie I've ever seen that was TRYING to be great was The Patriot. Words cannot describe how awful I thought that movie was. I really looked forward to it to...the lack of decent America Revolution movies is sad, but alas, it continues to be sad. A close second is The Postman. Very disappointing. garyrc
Fire Maidens of Outer Space, by a mile! If you like Borodin's Polyvetsian Dances, or fire, or maidens, or outer space, you won't after seeing this movie! Actually, The Joy Luck Club was quite good -- I can't imagine why it would be on anybody's "worst" list. "Worst" is fun -- but how about "Best," specifically the ones that actually come over the best in Home Theater. I am going to start a thread on the Home Theater section of the Klipsch Forum ... please respond over there. The invitation will include these words: because of bad DVD transfers, damaged prints, or the moronic practice of limiting dynamic range on some films (and not others), some films that came over well in the theaters are pale imitations of their former selves in home theater. What 3 or 4 films come over as the best in the home?

I agree about The Patriot , but since most of the movie was filmed around here I kinda dig it . It will never be in my collection though . DrWho
"Bride and Prejudice" - AWFUL musical wannabe chick flick, but you gotta have a story first...seemed more like a long music video to show off some Indian chicks "talent" (not sure I'd call it talent though) [+o(] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361411/ "Phantom of the Opera" - whatever the most recent rendition is. Opera isn't my favorite form of music, but I certainly have an appreciation for it. When making a movie you could at least sing in tune! Man I was ripping my ears off watching that. Not to mention a bunch of crappy camera angles and cuts and all sorts of off-sync crap. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293508/ "Fight Club" - this movie was stupid on so many levels and is what spurred my hatred of Brad Pitt. Such bad acting with such a hokey plot. I know many will disagree with me, but that's life [] "Flesh Eating Mothers" - awful 80's horror...not sure if it's supposed to be comedy or not, but if it was then it was awfully portrayed. I see that the imdb rates it as comedy/horror. It definetly is a fun movie to make fun of though...when working at the video store we would slip this disc into the cases of customers that we knew well. Good times. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097364/ "You Got Served" - not much to say since there isn't much of a movie there. Definetly a fun movie to watch in fast forward and make up your own lyrics [] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365957/
darylomer12
Tripod, I watched Alexander last night. You were right, that is one horrible movie. It seemed like it jumped from scene to scene without letting anyone know what was happening. It was a hard movie to follow, let alone the bad acting. I agree 100%, easily top 5 worst movies..... SynergySystem
I would have to say the worst film I've seen is Hard Boiled, though I've seen quite a few bad ones. I dont know that it was actually that bad per say but I had heard so much about it being better then Die Hard that it really disappointed me. Horrible acting, poor transfer, and I dont care much for john woo's directing style. *waits for the flames*
