Q man... you show off!!!!! hahahaahahahahahaahaha

For the un initiated he took a K horn bottom AND made a center channel out of it.. Yes that is the k horn bottom up there...what he has done beyond that is also pretty cool.

It looks awesome man!!!!!!!!!

One thing for sure.. BIG SPEAKERS= BIG SOUND!!! You can always turn it down, but if you don't have the balls to begin with, it just aint gonna happen if you want it big n loud!!!

Your right Indy, but I couldn't help it. [:D]

I remember my growing days when I kept changing and trying new things. I just wasn't happy with the sound untill I got to where I am today. That's why I havn't been around mush the last couple of years. I don't have anything new to contribute.

I do stop in and catch up on what's going on at least once a week. I followed your new room and equipment changes. Very nice, by the way. I can't forget my old friends.

It seems like there are a few new people here that picked up where I left off. Those are also interesting reads to me.

Now instead of tweaking and building every night, I lay back on the reclining sofa and watch a movie or listen to some tunes.

Due to space constraints, it needs to be 24" or

less in width. What would be the best choice? RC-3, RC-35,

RC-62 or a sealed design like a KT-LCR? My mains are a 1979 pair

of LaScalas with crossover upgrade. Thanks for any

inputs...

The best would be another La Scala.

Second best would be a Heresy with a modified crossover that's similar to the one in your La Scalas.

The other klipsch families would not be at all suitable.

I'm running modified Heresies as center and surrounds.

A single industrial split La Scala. Bass bin on the bottom HF section over TV.

I don't know who did this but I saw a pic of it.

I run 3 La Scalas up front with good restults.

My left and right are 2004 La Scalas and my center has a new A/AA crossover from BEC. For movies it is fine but for music I can notice a difference.

I need to contact Klipsch and see if I can buy half of the crossover upgrade with the latest crossover for the center La Scala.

You could even take a single La Scala and with some mods make the LF and HF split them.

If you ever want to stop by my place in Austin let me know.

What's the mod on the Heresy (II ?) ?

And what does it do to the sound match?

My single Heresy II has its crossover attached to the inside of the

black cap on the back of the speaker, where the connectors are.

It has a bunch of unidentifiable blue caps on it. I'd be

hard-pressed to identify anything to modify it.

Thanks!

I've never worked out a mod for the HII. I don't think I've ever

heard a pair, either. What are your mains? If we can get a

schematic for the HII and your evaluation of the sound in comparison to

your mains (using FM hiss or the calibration noise), maybe we can do

something.

I was looking thru the forums and came across your set up. I have Klipschorns for right and front and was wondering what this set-up was. I have a micrperf screen and need something that matches for center. I have pro Klipsch for sides and rears that came out of a movie house. Your opinion and help would be most appreciated.
