seti
I haven't been to the Wright Sound page in a long time. It seems George has built a signature series with some ultralinear designs one pushing 70wpc. When did he start this line? I also love this new preamp and the cage is great. http://www.wright-sound.com/scripts/openExtra.asp?extra=3 Does anyone know where I can find meters like this one has on the front? http://www.wright-sound.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=18#photos I have been happy with my WLA12A preamp and George Wright has been very helpful everytime I have asked him a question. Parrot
Interesting, especially when you consider that someone was posting just this morning that all he needed was 1/3 of a watt. Nice looking meter.

Nice looking meter. Now Parrot lets not start that debate AGAIN! You know I am a fan of flea power but I also like what I have heard from kt66 and kt88 ultralinear amps. Many are the paths to audionirvana.

Serious retro look. He should have put some bakelite hawkbill knobs on that preamp instead of the machined aluminum knobs. Looks like an old Heathkit amp. I like it. 3dzapper
George's "AU" line is for audio dealer sales. They have a few more bells and whistles than the black units and the higher retail price. Griff is/was a dealer for them (Where's he been?) Rick

3dzapper
If it's only infintessimally better than the plain black Wrights, you have a real winner there Steve. Rick
Erik Mandaville
I agree about the plain black Wrights. Great little amps that were a perfect match for our Klipschorns. I told a few people that I liked them even better than the Moondogs. Like the Moth 2A3, I think there is something to the direct and/or low impedance coupling that provides some real sonic benefits. I miss the pair we had hear for awhile, but I know their new owner is someone who can and does appreciate them. Erik
