Heresy II project

More pictures forthcoming.

I suppose I can bring them to a DFW Hornhead meeting. They sure do look pretty[:D]!

Yeah... more pictures!

I'd love to have the DFW guys over here sometime, but the way our house is, the group would have to come one at a time! Dang ol' small Music Room with one (that's right, one) "listening chair." [^o)] The one-and-only DFW Hornheads meeting that I attended was at Seadog's place... perfect venue for good listening, visiting, lying, etc!!

Anyway, sometime when you are going to be in the Mid-Cities area (Hurst), let me know and drop by.

Have a super weekend!

Rob

One picture of the finished Heresy's. I'll take some high resolution pictures (might pull out my 8X10 camera) later when I have some good light. Using a video camera for still pictures leaves a lot to be desired.

Finished.
Sound terrific. Used the Chesky demo CD to test them. A-B comparison
with Cornwall's...they hold their own well. Man, they sound goodbigsmile.gif .

I also refreshed the crossovers.

Great work, Ron! They are beautiful... but you need to beware; now that you are a veneering god, you will always be looking around for more stuff to "improve." You dining room may be gone forever.

And, I still want to know, when is the Dallas/Fort Worth 'open house' to check 'em out "in person?"

Best to you...

Rob

Here is the next project...a tore up McIntosh MAC-1700 cabinet. Should look fine in a Bubinga coat[;)]!

14 hours later (maybe an hour cleaning up the cabinet, wood putty on corners and another hour and a half measuring, cutting, gluing and sanding) the cabinet is veneered and has 1 coat of Tung oil. Came out nice.

One sheet of veneer, wrapped from left to right, front edging matches the side and top pieces and laid out the same way.

God posting that is like posting porn....lol.... that is some bea-u-t-ful work there! I just have one question though... are you going to repaint the black edge that is visible?? I would for sure with a nice satin finish black spraybomb.

Might hit it with some black lacquer I have left over. Sure visible in the sunlight. Here is a picture in use.

Edit: Made slant legs for the cabinet. Not a bubble or problem with the veneer in ten months. Looks terrific!
