He sent me photos that look fine. Wasn't sure about the painted black part. Here is his quote in my email: "The speakers have been painted black in the front. It can easily be refinished or completely painted black. The spots are NOT on the speakers, but on the camera lens. All original drivers as far as he knows. Says they sound great. He had them in his home theater and recessed into the wall. Spray painted the front black. He taped up the grill cloth when he spray painted. He thinks they are Mahogany.
