Fish
It's pretty simple j,as you've noticed,Denons are ok but nothin' outstanding for music,HK has a more Klipsch friendly upper end response(of course this is my view). It's the preamp section that makes the difference,I've had the HK's 6xx and Denon 38xx models preouts both hooked to the same amps many times,HK always sounds better in my room. You need a whoop arse amp on the HK(buy one used priced right, enjoy or sell it for about what you paid). That would be "top notch"). Jay481985
my dilemma is that the denon is a multi channel for future upgrades, the hk was a stereo receiver..... If the hk was multi channel it would have been a no brainer
DizRotus
Why do so many, including your's truly on occasion, misspell Harman Kardon? It's only my unscientific theory, but I suspect that we unconsciously think of harmony when we misspell Harman as "Harmon."
