DIXIEWELDER
DON'T KNOW A WHOLE LOT ABOUT THE HISTORY OF CORNWALL SPEAKER COMPONENTS! WHERE THERE A WHOLE LOT OF CHANGES FROM THE 70'S TO TODAYS CORNWALL III'S IF SO WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST OPTIONS FOR FILLING SOME EMPTY CORNWALL CABINETS? CIRCA 1980'S HAVE TYPE B CROSSOVERS IN THEM THATS IT! LIVE IN ARKANSAS THINKING ABOUT GOING TO SEE BOB CRITES! I LIKE DEEP TIGHT BASS AND WELL DEFINED HIGHS! I LISTEN TO ALOT OF HEAVY METAL WITH A LOT OF QUICK DOUBLE BASS AND WANT IT TO COME ACROSS ACCURITELY WITH NO LAG! HEAVY METAL HAS COME A LONG WAY IN CLARITY OF THER RECORDINGS! I LISTEN TO MY MUSIC LOUD! I WANT SOMETHING THAT CAN PERFORM WELL AT HIGH VOLUME! I KNOW I'M GONNA GO DEAF, BUT YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!! MYSWELL GO DEAF LISTENING TO SOME OF THE BEST SPEAKERS IN THE WORLD! (IN MY OPINION) ANYWAY ANY TECH HELP OR PERSONAL OPIONS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED! Dflip
What amp and preamp are you using? I'm not sure I would say that Cornwalls are the greatest rock n' roll speakers. With tubes, jazz female vocalists, then they sound incredible. Fortes might be more to your liking, they take up less space, go deeper and definitely do rock n' roll. For rock with solid state, they are good, but I wouldn't say great. I have owned Cornwalls since, 1981.
