flannj
Although I am so excited for these games to start that I can't sit still, I am seriously dreading the games on TBS. The fumbled ramblings of Dick Stockton and the absolutely inane chatter of Chip Carey may cause me to puncture my eardrums at some point. Which led me to this clip of Vin Scully announcing. When he was in his prime he was one of the best ever. As a Cubs fan, hell just a fan of the game, if this doesn't get you ready for tonight, nothing will. This is from the opening of the 1989 NLCS playoffs, Cubs vs. Giants. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-393339972846086159 EDIT : Geez... Forum's nanny software deleted Richard Stockton's first name

oldbuckster
Cubs, Phillies, Angels, and Yankee's look to be in trouble ......... Could all change or end this week-end ........ I think the Yankee's and Cubs could win both at home, and Angels and Phillies win one game each then it's over ........ In Yogi's words, "It ain't over, 'till it's over ! "
jamesV
Man, after the first two games with the Phillies I am glad the Mets didn't win. I don't think that could have did any better. Go Rockies.... James
jacksonbart
Phills will get swept tonight in CO. Oh well there is always next year. I predict next year they finish 9 games behind the Mets. Top Notch!
oldbuckster
Yankee's only team not swept ................. Cleveland better put them away to night, the Indians won't beat them in game 5, doesn't matter where it's played.... Well, I like the Rockies over Diamondbacks ................ and, the Red Sox to beat Yanks/Indians .................
jacksonbart
Redsox win the WS, I can't see them loosing with that pitching. Oh well I can always watch football until my teams sucks out of that, then I will just resign myself to watching Professional Bowling.
