mungkiman
Do you have an empty cabinet, or are you trying to match components and crosover as well?
funkyhambone
they would definitely go well with your belles. no doubt. i have a friend that picked up some brazilian rosewood heresy's that would match my khorns. if i get them, i'll offer the others to you first. funkyhambone
i have one 1957 mahogany from the factory. i am looking for another. i do have an extra stephens woofer and university guts that i pulled out of a 50's khorn just in case i need to match components to my single. funkyhambone
i also have some vintage grill cloth that is almost a dead ringer to what's on my shorty too.
mungkiman
As a fellow Shorthorn owner (1959), I'm curious as to your components. Thanks.
khorn51
Do you have any pics of your short horn? I wonder if it matches my 59?
funkyhambone
it has a university MID-T tweeter. i don't see any markings, but i assume a university mid. it has a stephens trusonic 103LX woofer.
khorn51
looks just like my swI 15 which is walnut a bit lighter. Btw Mine came new (back in 59)with a Khorn and heresy as a stereo three way sytem, I even have a brocher from klipsh showing this set up. I will keep a eye out for a mahogoay one. funkyhambone
thanks khorn51. well, mungkiman i guess i would be interested in guts too. i got to looking and my extra stephens is 4 ohms versus the 16 ohms in my shorty. i suppose i could use a pair of crossovers too. just in case i have trouble with "different" xovers. mungkiman
I have a pair of K-1000-5000 crossovers if you are interested. Idon't know if they are from a Shorthorn or Rebel, and also have no ideaif they are intended to drive a 16 or 4 Ohm woofer. Someone like Bob C.should probably have a look at them, to verify values and functionality. Let me know if you are interested.
