Ray_pierrewit
I found a used pair of Klipsch KP-250 for $350. It's for a 2 channelaudio setup in my main room (15' x 20'), I'll be driving them with theTrends TA-10.1 for the moment until I decide to build something better.I've read as many posts as I could find on this model and haven't beenable to tell if people like them or not... so what's the concensus???I'll try to post imagesof the speakers. Thanks for any advice, Daniel

Mike Lindsey
It's a pro series Heresy... http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/kp-250.aspx Very similar to the KPT-250 which is still being made today... http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/kpt-250.aspx Mike
TommyK
reasonable price, but not a great deal. They will sound great! a little weak in the bass. Your digital amp will sound fine. But try a tube amp and be prepared to melt. peace, TommyK
IndyKlipschFan
In that nice of condition 350- 450 is a good deal. Enjoy!
colterphoto1
The ports increase output at the expense of low bass. These are normally used with KP115 sub system.
dkalsi
I thought ports increase low bass extention?
michael hurd
Physics dictate if the box is efficient, and small, extension must suffer... these use a woofer that is sensitive, but sacrifices low end for the trade-off. As stated, these are normally used with a subwoofer system.
Groomlakearea51
FWIW, I looked at a pair of these a while ago, but the bass issue becomes important if you are driving them at low volumes. I talked to a well respected Klipsch person who told me that they are really a PA speaker or for use as surrounds in a theater, so I backed off. Good price though, and if you have a sub, they may be a great way to go. I had a pair of the "forerunners" to them, the TH-SR3's. They were not ported, but had the heavy duty woofer and a special crossover. They really came alive when driven with about 100 watts. These probably are the same in performance, if not better.
