The "crab" scene reminded both me and my girlfriend of Waiting For Godot. We also thought a typical Pirates viewer would not get it at all. I believe it's real close to an hour of boredom before the movie starts rolling. Then it gets kind of funny and then there is some pretty darn good action scenes. I wish they would of just shortened it a bit because I started liking it at about a hour ( at least) into it. I watched it last night and just happened to look up at the clock on the dvd player thinking wow nothing has really happened so far. It was clocked at over 60 some minutes into the film. I feltthere were way too many things/subplots going on and the result was abit of a jumbled up mess. The movie was all over the place.....THEGOOD: It's Disneys Pirates of the Caribbean!! Great cast, greatcinematography, great audio, over the top effects, and your senses arestimulated from beginning to end. Even though the movie had a lot goingon and it was all over the place.....the individual pieces wereamazing/hilarious/spectacular....and a lot of fun to watch.
