skybull Posted February 16, 2008 Share Posted February 16, 2008 I have a pair Klipsch Heresy II signature series (1985) speakers in excellent condition. I am ready to buy my first home theater (HT) system and trying to figure out if I should use the Heresy II's when assembling a HT system. My current thinking is to purchase individual components for the HT system with use with the Heresys. Or, would I better off, sound quality wise, to purchase a complete set of new speakers for the HT system and not use the Heresys. Thanks for the advice! Islander Posted February 17, 2008 Share Posted February 17, 2008 I'm using a Heresy II for a center and Heresy IIs for surround in my system. They're a good match for the La Scala mains. I use a sub as well. For a lower cost, an all-Heresy plus sub system would be good. If you do use your Heresies in your HT, the other speakers should also be Heritage Series to give you good timbre matching. It does matter. Also if it is possible to have the front three speaker all the same. Good luck, have fun and post some pictures when you are done.
