damonrpayne
I was recently exposed to the Steely Dan song "Home at Last" from Aja. I think I might have been missing out. What other albums should I check out?
billybob
Did you hear song "Deacon Blues"?
danfan01
Steely Dan is one of my favorite bands. Aja is more of their jazzy stuff and is one of my favorites. If you like that you'll probably like Gaucho and Two Against Nature. Two Against Nature one the grammy for best album a few years back. Also their singer Donald Fagen put out a solo album called "Morph the Cat" withthin the last year or 2 that is incredible. I highly recommend that one too. askbob1
for starters, i would get the 'showbiz kids' 2 disc cd set. this is a very good compilation. the two against nature dvd is a sure bet as well. any of their albums are great.
Duke Spinner
Aja ... what a stunningly produced, and recorded album .. at the time of CCR, and GFR
triceratops
Aja ... what a stunningly produced, and recorded album .. at the time of CCR, and GFR I seem to remember by that time Becker and Fagen were doing a lot of their recording in a home studio with an Otari 8-track. You can pick those up pretty cheap these days! But I guess you've got to have some serious mojo to make it sound like Steely Dan.
