On the anniversary of one of the greatest meltdowns in sports history.

I lifted this directly from one of my favorite Baseball blogs, Desipio.com .

Do not click on the link if you are even slightly offended by profanity.

You have been warned.

I'm serious... lots of bad language.

Really... I'm not kidding.

"Twenty-five years. Its been 25 years since Lee Elia lost his mind in the managers office at Wrigley Field and unleashed one of the most profane, vile, hilarious and entertaining rants of all time. A rant so infamous that when Jay Johnstone published it word-for-word in his autobiography, it got the book banned."

"Thank you I cannot get this stupid forum to format my posts the way I type them - Jim For instance this post should show up as 5 seperate lines, not 1. I have had this problem with Safari before but today I am using IE."

Sometimes it takes forever for the page to load properly.

If you start your reply before it is fully loaded it will not format properly.

It's not ONE of the greatest meltdowns in sports history - it is THE greatest meltdown in sports history. I remember that like it was yesterday. This got played on WLS's morning show with Larry Lujack and Tommy Edwards in a near continuous loop for over a month. This beat anything those two ever did on "Animal Stories".

"85% of you have jobs.....the rest come out here." LOL. Just PRICELESS. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....................
