Klipsch-daddy
I think personally it did not help me, but you are going to have to do it for yourself to see if it improves your setup. Reason being everyone here has different home theater setups, therefore you are going to have different results. ------------------ Home Theater: Yamaha RX-V1000 Klipsch RF-3's Klipsch KSC-C1(LOOKING FOR A RC-3 OR RC-3II) Kenwood KSV64 Bipolar Speakers Klipsch Subwoofer KSW-12 Television: TOSHIBA THEATER VIEW 50" DVD Player SONY S-360 CD Changer CDC 585 5 Disc Yamaha Philips Pronto ts-1000 monster cable interconnects/12 gauge speaker wire This message has been edited by Klipsch-daddy on 01-21-2002 at 08:02 AM
Kevin S
I tried it with some B&W 601 S2 speakers because everything I read said it was a dramatic improvement. If it made a difference, it was so slight that I could not really be sure. It was far less of a difference than the change I could get from varying the toe in of the speaker, for example. ------------------ L/C/R: Klipsch Heresy II Surround: Klipsch RS-3 Subwoofers: 2 HSU-VTF-2 Pre/Pro/Tuner: McIntosh MX-132 AMP: McIntosh MC-7205 DVD: McIntosh MVP-831 CD Transport: Pioneer PD-F908 100 Disc Changer Turntable: Denon DP-72L Cassette: Nakamichi BX-1 T.V. : Mitsubishi 55905 SAT/HDTV: RCA DTC-100 Surge Protector: Monster Power HTS-5000
Anubis
I went ahead and bi-wired my RF-7's just because I could and because I had a whole bunch of speaker wire left over. Whether it made a difference or not I don't know. I figure it can't hurt it since it really is no different then using a larger gauge of speaker wire. Plus, I would think it would be better then using the Monster wire they use to connect the posts. Again, whether it made a difference, I highly doubt it made that much of one. ------------------ --- ...transmission terminated... M6 Driver
I Bi-wired my KLF 30's no noticable improvments for those who notice improvments I believe it's mostly psychological due to the cash shelled out now where did I put those can of worms! ------------------ "FULLY LOADED" J
rennocneb
I think jts8 needs to pick his ears i am using klipsch RF-3's and the difference is easily noticed. You gain a fuller midrange and louder more extened bottom end plain and simple of course if you are using junky wire that could be a lot of the trouble. Mighty Favog
Giving credit to both sides of the "argument" try this. If you are using say 12ga. Monster Cable as a single run, try running two runs (bi-wire) of that same type of cable. When I upgraded from Monster to MIT I was running a single run of the MOnster but bought the MIT's in bi-wire. Being an upgrade just in puchasing the MIT, I think there was/is an improvement in both the quality of the wire AND way it is connected. ------------------ Tom's Money Pit
boa12
made a noticable dif w/ my rf-3 mainly in the stereo imaging. sound shifted more to the middle than the sides. would be hard to imagine that i think. couldn't tell as much w/ the klf-30 as they're only bout 5 ft apart (space constraints). did seem to tighten up the bass a bit but somewhat inconclusive. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
