John Warren
I've been looking at the locations (present and past) of some of the loudspeaker manufacturers on Google Maps. Some have the STREET VIEW option which is cool, especiallly when you see what these locations have turned into today. Here are some of the addresses I've checked out so far: JBL Pro 8500 Balboa Boulevard, Northridge, CA Electro-Voice, 404 Carrol Street, Buchanan, MI (Cecil St. is on the opposite side. Also, FWIW, the whole location is a Super-Fund site thanks to EV). University Loudspeakers, 80 South Kensico Avenue, White Plains, NY (It's a self-storage facility) Klipsch, 137 Country Rd., Hope AR (talk about in the middle of nowhere, looks like the facility is nestled next to a sewage treatment plant) Still to do: Jensen Manufacturing Bozak Stephens Stan White Loudspeakers Western Electric Utah
Professor Thump
The reason the EV site is a superfund is that in the 1950's and 60's they would electro plate metals. Some of the materials would be cadmium plated. When the fluids were flushed they would drain into a clay lined pond or well. That was a typical process for that day. Later on they capped it off but the soil was of course considered contaminated. The EPA claimed that if a child ate 2 hands full of dirt a day they could possibly get cancer. I believe that was one of EV's downfalls when Mark IV owned them from a financial status. They have been bought and sold so many times now that most of the original culture is gone. BYW...Google was off a few 100 feet. The building and parking lot for Cecils street is by the baseball diamond.

Deang
Klipsch, 137 Country Rd., Hope AR (talk about in the middle of nowhere, looks like the facility is nestled next to a sewage treatment plant) That would be the Tyson chicken plant, which smells like a sewage treatment plant -- so you were pretty close.
