doctorcilantro
I'm down here in Tampa Florida wishing I could demo a pair of Heresy IIIs. Maybe there's a store over in St. Pete, not sure. I know the Heresy doesn't dig as low as the RF-7 but it has the midrange horn, correct? What are the major differences between the two? Is this a good example of Heritage vs. Reference? Or would I need to compare the RF-7 to Belle or LaScala. DC
Zen Traveler
The RF-7 would be more comparable to the Cornwall and above and would be considerably better (i.e., fuller sounding speaker) than the Heresy III, if you have enough power to drive them. To my ears Heresies always seem to sound "bright," when compared to other speakers.
dkp
I agree with tkd although the HIIIs do not sound as bright as the HIIs IMHO.
Groomlakearea51
Dr.C. If you ever get a chance to swing down to Okeechobee (about 2 hours from you) let me know and you can swing by and listen to Heresy's, Cornwalls, LaScala's, Belles, Khorns under different applications in different rooms and see what you think about the general sound compared to the RF7's. Bring a CD with music that you are familiar with. The forum email system is still down, but you can cut and paste my email address in a regular email: ocsosheriff1@embarqmail.com I will be home pretty much the entire weekend.
