mark1101
For $500 you did fine. A lot of people have really nice looking lousy sounding speakers. If they sounded right to you then it was worth the purchase. Looks don't mean much if they don't sound right.
Marvel
I agree, Mark. I drove 800 miles to get mine, and paid an amount I can't remember...$1200 plus, I think. Worth every penny. Bruce
twistedcrankcammer
Cheaper would have been better but I don't regret bringing them home, I won't have to worry about scratching them. Plus its good to have exact year spare parts for my 1976 K horns, my other pair of 1976 la scalas, 1976 Cornwalls, and 1976 Heresy's. If you are pleased, that is all that matters anyhow... What is the significance of 1976?? Year you were born?? Year you graduated?? I guess I would even take a busted up set of TSCMs to finish my home theatre.... tuned4life
Roger, No special significance to 1976 models. Drove 1200 mile round trip to Chicago for my mint La scalas and they just happened to be 1976 models. Finally found a nice pair of K-Horns in Syracuse and they turned out to be 1976. Then got a mint pair of Cornwalls from Erie Pa. and they were also 1976's. I didn't really need them but just bought a nice pair of Heresy Decorators in Syracuse and guess what year, 1976.
