  1. Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the Klipsch family! I agree with you, the Chorus ll is an amazing speaker esp. for the price you can pick them up for on the used market.
  2. Thanks for the link, I just ordered two of these, one for me and one for my wife! It will come in handy!
  3. I've said this before but I really believe that in a blind listening audition most people would be hard pressed to pick a favorite between the Cornwall, CF-4, Chorus ll, KLF-30, RF-7, RF-83 or RF-7 ll. I think they all have their little flavor to them and they each might do a little better with certain music but all in all they are pretty close to each other.
  4. I have both and love them both. They both have an edge on different types of music IMO. Over-all I give the Chorus ll the edge in music but it's closer than some might think. If the price is right grab them and test them both side x side and have some fun!
  5. Yes, that is called the soap-opera effect. On my Sharp it is "film-mode" I believe or something like that. I keep it turned off, if it's on it looks like the people are too real or something. It's weird and I don't like it.
  6. Yeah this movie was sad, I wasnt expecting that at all... great movie, one that you will remember for sure.
  7. I collect guns like I collect speakers! ; )
  8. Very nice bedroom, I've always thought the maple were beautiful.
  9. Nice pics Youthman! I'd like to attend something like this... looks like a good time for sure.
  10. I liked this movie as well... the wife picked it and we were both very surprised. I didn't think I'd like it at all and she thought it would be happy and sweet. I ended up liking it a lot and she thought it was just O.K.. It ended up being my kind of movie hahaha.
  11. That's actually the first time I've heard that suggestion. Everything I've always read (THX & Dolby) suggest 2' - 3' above ear level. I personally would think at ear level the sound would be too directional if it was coming directly at my ears. Just my opinion. If all you have is a back wall, then that's all you have. It will still work fine. I wouldn't be too worried about it. You will have to decide if you want direct radiating or wide dispersion type speakers. Best wishes on your journey. I'm sure others will provide their thoughts and suggestions. Same here, I thought they were supposed to be 5-7 feet off the ground. I have my surrounds and rears at six feet with the RB-75s tilted down slightly, aimed at the sweet spot. I have not played much with the direction, not sure if they should be pointed at the sweet spot or not.
  12. I've never heard the RSW-15 but from what I remember reading years ago they are about as good as it gets for music. They are not bottom feeders like the SVS but they should out perform them when it comes to music.
  13. They came while I was out of town on a marriage retreat with my church. I had them delivered at the local FedEx place and picked them up last night. They are black with a few scuffs but you can't see it in the theater room so no bigge at all. The sound is amazing for a bookshelf. I hooked them up in place of my R/L RF-7 for a little while in the theater room and was very impressed. I will do some a/b comparisons soon between the RB-75, RB-5, RB-81 and Paradigm Studio 20.v2. I have a neat little Monster Cable 4 way speaker selector so it will be easy to swap back and forth. Should be fun!
  14. We just watched this and thought it was really good. Great story line... audio and video was decent.
  15. I'm a huge Peyton fan, as a matter of fact I drafted him in my FF league and he's having a heck of a year so far. This is a big game for them this week, hope they can pull it off.
  16. Congrats, that's a nice TV. You can pay close attention to my avatar btw... ; ) 5-0 baby!
  17. Sweet! I have not heard the KLF-30's yet, looking forward to hearing what you think about it. You have an impressive collection of speakers. Congrats on the new toys, knowing you I have a feeling you got a pretty good deal!
  18. I have a pair of RB-81 ll's but I never added them to my theater room. I like them in my office but believe it or not, I prefer my RB-5 ll's over my RB-81 ll's in my office. It's a smaller room and that may have something to do with it. The room is only 12x14 or so. The RB-5's just sound a little smoother in here.
  19. I've been looking for RB-75's for years. The few times I have seen them pop up they go for way more money than I'm willing to spend. These somehow flew under the radar and when I saw them today they were at $250 or something with only 30 minutes left. I hope they live up to the hype!
  20. How cool is that??? That's what makes these Klipsch forums so special IMO.
  21. Should I be worried? I checked his feedback and it looks like he's sold five other items with positive feedback in the last few months. He's in CA so I should be covered if he tries to pull a fast one.
  22. Just won a pair of RB-75's on Ebay for $390! Talk about a deal! They have a few light scuffs but I'll clean them up. I never get deals like this, I'm pretty excited lol.
  23. I would really like to make these mods to my Chrous ll's and Forte's. Reading stuff like this gets me excited... lol
  24. Super cool room and RF-7s too! When I was his age all I had was a little jam box! His friends will be blown away when they hear his setup.
  25. You can upload your cd in lossless and you won't hear a difference that I can tell but everything you buy from the Apple store is only MP3. They do not sell any lossless music via the Apple store.
