  1. exactly........ I'd deactivate the switch, can't stand that feature. The primary intent is to save the ozone, saving gasoline (oil) was secondary.

    What I Got Today!

You'll need to contact Theadus for some goat meat to drop in there.
  3. That's where you'll hear the screaming of the goats..... that awful screaming of the goats.
  4. From Laredo, born and raised, my family has long history is there.... father's side arrived late 1770's, mothers' side even longer...... but not me. Knew I'd never live in Laredo when I left. Lived in FL, OK and CO also. Happily moved back to Texas 2009, living in Spring Branch, about 35 min. N of downtown San Antonio. Still drive to Laredo quite frequently. Got one more to put through college and I could be headed your way. I like to fish, been slamming the reds and flounder in Aransas Pass and Rock Port. What's the difference nowadays? I was in Katy recently, bought my youngest her first car, they had a good used one at a great price, too good to pass up.
  5. from the junkies perspective.... they're free
  6. I was in CO 3 weeks ago, drove there because I didn't want to fly. On my way home while driving through New Mexico and getting closer to the Texas, about 100 mi away, I started driving at warp speed when suddenly saw and blew past a trooper who was parked on the side of the highway. The radar detector didn't sound the warning, but I was going so fast I just knew I was going to get a ticket...... but he never did anything and just stayed parked there. That was the only time was okay with Wuhan virus pandemic.
  7. Damn!!! They really were playing Russian Roulette. Man, that is inhumane, the one of the stupidest fk'ed-up things I've heard in quite some time...... Can You Say "Class Action Lawsuit"
  8. That would be Laredo, Texas...... but you couldn't pay me enough for that. I'll never live in that politically corrupt shyt hole city again. No more border towns living for me.
  9. Yea, that's part of the reason, but I've lived in other states.... FL, OK and for a very short while CO. I look forward to getting my last little one off to college, then the wife and I are packing up and moving some place to grow older and enjoy.
  10. Good luck, and yes, I think you're crazy.... but what the hell, moved to and lived in Oklahoma when I was chasing the money. Good to be back in Texas.
  11. Only 100 yrs. old huh? Must have been the virus, had to be. It's in the report.
  12. Thanks..... but I need more "HOPE", the Chlorox based kool aid issued at CNN isn't working..... will need to increase the dosage, or change brands or possible move to a peated single malt.
  13. Can you smell the billy goats?
  14. Started to watch it with the wife, but after about 20 min. we determined that it wasn't entertaining.... and actually pretty darn disgusting. About on par with the freak show at the circus or similar pay for the shock and awe. Will give Ozark a try since there were quite a few who offered positive commentary on more than one aspect of the series.
  15. Will do!! Gonna vote again for the same HOPE & CHANGE we got last time around; thanks.
  16. In simplest form, you are correct, ..... or, at least I agree. Imagine the horror if Los Angeles and NYC dictated the law for everything in between. Makes me sick just thinking about it.

    Car Thread

Here's a oldie but a goodie of mine. This was my project and my baby between 87 and 1990. Ford Motorsport 351W with Alan Root Al heads, D. Nash 5 spd and ford 9" with Mark Williams 2" axles and 3:55 nodular pumpkin. I was pissed when they came out with the 6 speed a few months later. Body kit (fender flares, hood and tail) were from Bill Meyer racing, back in the day. 5 lug over-sized rotors all the way around, and more hidden tricks than I have time to post. She was a screaming demon.
  18. I don't get it? Pence states his reasoning near the end of the story, "following CDC guildlines (at the time I suppose), and he's tested regularly"; what's the big deal? You want to be tested, but can't?
  19. Thanks for the clarification, and I just learned that Paul was also the vocalist for "The Firm". Absolutely love the music from both Bad Company and The Firm. Cheers!!
  20. The way you rationalize the pandemic, it never ends; but I think you forgot to consider "intent", as in was it intentional or unintentional? In the case of the current pandemic, I believe China knowingly allowed this to occur. Their economy is hurting now, and they're missing badly the business as usual swamp rats. Dig deep enough, I'll bet G. Soros was involved.

My 2 cents worth...... I don't think FMJ's are barrel friendly, lead is a whole lot easier to clean and remove than copper...... I think an LA, Chicago or NY ER doctor would be better able to explain the differences between various types of bullets, none of which I would not want to get shot with, but do have significant experience. Trust me, FMJ's are as friendly a round as you will ever encounter, banning them is just another ineffective feel good law that fails to identify, let along address the problem.

Define high capacity and why you think Joe American shouldn't be allowed to own one. True, no threat of a British invasion, but that's not the reason for the 2nd Amendment, and it's damn sure no reason to surrender or throw away the ability to defend yourself against the reason for the 2nd Amendment. When was the last time you drove SH83 or SH277 from the South Texas Valley to De Rio? When was the last time you drove SH90 or SH 170 from Del Rio to Presidio, TX? You might want to talk to a few ranchers, US Customs Agents, DEA and DHLS employees next time you drive the Texas highways along our southern border. Last I heard, it was the same in New Mexico and Arizona's southern borders. Agree with you second statement and should leave it at that, but what the hell, we allow the actions of 0.0003% of the population to dictate the law to the masses, what's one more loss of freedom, what's one more useless law that hurts Americans and/or puts them in danger or potential risk. And while I see the rationalization for the approach you propose, I can't for the life of me see the effectiveness of instituting another gun law that won't work. Forty years ago today, guns were just as prevalent and more accessible, yet 40 yrs ago there were no mass shootings. I suggest the root of the problem has nothing to do with guns, gun-clips or ammo. Might I suggest you direct your focus and attention toward items that didn't exist 40 yrs. ago; for example, gun violent video games, sniper games, Hollywood gun-loving shoot'em up movies and poor parenting?

Bad approach, I'm guessing you have no experience with guns in general. FMJ rounds are friendly rounds, lead tipped and hollow points, not so much. Get's old watching politicians grab at anything then trying to rationalize their actions or approach, their proposals do nothing to stop the bad guys from getting guns and killing people. You need only research gun violence within the City's and States that enforce the strictest gun ownership laws in the nation..... I think you'll find they're also the City's and States with the highest incidences of gun violence.
