Charlieboy, NICE! Good score. Glad you were able to save this (from the dump) and put it to good use. Something about preserving all that history makes the sound that much sweeter. Good for you. Enjoy! paul

Just a heads up that I stopped by Echo Audio in Portland and saw a nice looking pair of Klipschorns for sale. (Not mine) Sorry I did not catch the serial numbers. They looked to me to be Oiled Walnut. Good shape. I believe they were priced at $2200. Echo Audio is a good shop with nice people. Could be a good place for someone local to see and audition Khorns: Kurt Doslu, Echo Audio www.echohifi.com Toll free: 1-888-248-ECHO (3246) or (503) 223-2292 Hope this helps! paul

Olirin-I'll have to look into these. Russ(Budman)-That would definitely keep them from moving around! I'll give it some more thought. Appreciate the input! paul -

After. I'd rather not screw these into the cabinets. Any thoughts from folks on how to keep them from sliding around? My thanks, paul -

I'll update my own thread here. Have decided to go with the Medium Walnut Danish Oil. Seems to be the closest to the Corns finish without being too dark. I'll try and take some pics as i go along and post if they seem to have value. -

I have recently acquired some risers for my Cornwalls. Forum member Joesporter was kind enough to make me some out of solid oak.(Thanks Joe!) He did a nice job as they are straight and sturdy. I would like to match them as closely as I can to my 71 Cornwalls-Oiled Walnut finish. I would like to do this with staining-not up for a veneer job. I have tried rubbing some samples of Watco Danish oil that I have on the insides-Natural, Golden Oak, and went to the paint store and rubbed Medium Walnut, Dark Walnut, Black Walnut. I also tried some Boiled Linseed Oil that I have on them. I think the dark walnut is closest, although it gets a bit dark picking up the grains in the oak. I would rather err on the side of them being lighter than the speaker cabinets, rather than darker. Medium oak-or just go with the Boiled Linseed Oil? I know there are a number of members skilled at woodworking and refinishing Klipsch speakers. I'd appreciate input; major do's and dont's. I'd like to do this right the first time. My thanks in advance, paul

I feel violated, but I feel lucky...It could of been worse.

Sorry about your loss. Glad that your family is ok. I ahve been robbed a couple times. I think the hardest part for me was the violation-it's not a good feeling. You are taking the steps for preventing another occurance which is a good thing. Do not blame yourself as what these people did is a S%#@%Y thing to do to another person. Take care, paul -
Big THANKS to Greg for a beautiful pair of Khorns

Saw these Heresy's on ebay this morning. They look to me like decorator models.(?) Cabinets are a bit rough, but I like the overall look. Were these very common? I see the seller is in Arkansas. Ebay # 5754894362 paul
