  1. I didn't see Seadog's official group shot yet, but I was thinking of doing something that would help put names to faces. Check this out, mouse over me, john, or vince: http://www.klipschcorner.com/silverlight/2008/FaceTest/ I only did the mouseover work for 3 people, but the idea would be to process the whole group shot in this fashion showing name, forum name, and location. Participation & level of information shown would be optional. Any comments, send them to me.
  2. OK, a silly question that I probably know the answer to but I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues: When I get my new toys I'm going to want them closer together with less toe-in. When I ran my speaker wire in-wall I was assuming I'd have my cornwalls tucked DEEP into the corners forever. Now, I DID run all my wiring through conduit in the wall, but I'd honestly rather not mess with re-pulling unless I 100% need to. As long as I buy the same guage wire and do a nice solder/electrical tape job, it should be fine to just "extend" my current wires yes?
  3. Wow. Not as depressing as House of Sand and Fog, but close. Very creepy and very well done. Anyone else see this?
  4. Well John, I will have to take you up on that. I've seen Lost Highway, some Twin Peaks stuff, and his version of Dune is my favorite. "The Short Films of David Lynch" is in Netflix too. Eraserhead take the cake for being bizarre though.
  5. Ok, my dealer was forcibly introducing the light of day into my nether regions with the "mid-May" date; my delivery date is now expected to be more like mid-July. Sorry everyone. I will for sure still have another event in case people can't make the pilgrimage.

    Eraserhead

David Lynch needs to be medicated. Could somene tell me what this movie is supposedly about?
  7. I own Unforgiven on BluRay. Good stuff.
  8. I still don't know if I'll be getting mine in time to schedule this glorious event I will post here as soon as I know.

    Pale Rider

A great Clint Eastwood movie. 3/5 stars!
  10. The movie made sense, and I liked it quite a bit, except for the ending!
  11. Hopefully my leg has not been pulled on the release date? I didn't give them any dollars yet. They had the nicest white van though...
  12. Shoudn't this be in the Movies section down below?
  13. Now Michael, I'm sure you recall giving ME the same advice on your visit to my room, I'm recycling advice here
  14. Depending on the size of your room, I believe THX spec would have you getting direct radiators for the rear surround. I agree with the RB-35 idea.
  15. It seemed like I was demonized by proxy...
  16. Delaying a couple of weeks puts us awefully close to the pilgrimage, where I assume we'll be doing some listening anyway, though perhaps with less gear -swapping freedom than I'm offering. The other option is to delay until August, when I assume Boomac will want to have another Lake Country Fest?
  17. I've heard them, perhaps not in their final "kit" configuration, and was somewhat demonized for not being interested... The P-39F are dead sexy anyway.
  18. My impressions of the Palladium P-39F are already well documented: http://www.klipschcorner.com/Podcasts.aspx On the same electronics, in the same room, I would take them over the Klipschorn any day.
  19. The tuition thing was sort of a joke. My daughter's college fund is in tact and my son is 8 days old so I have yet to start his. Seriously though, I went to an inexpensive state school, and these speakers cost me just over what 5 years of college cost me!
  20. I need to book mine soon, but I'll be going Comfort Inn style as well. I'm bringing some beer & wine this year, BS session in my room...
  21. Next thing you know he'll be wanting to put a huge fin on the back of his car and un-needed lights and gauges.
