  1. Not exactly sure about you Infinity, but with my Klipsch is take a good strong signal to wake up, with my Sunfire I just turn on my Receiver and it wakes up so I seems to be the sensitivity on the Circuit.
  2. When is it scheduled for release?
  3. Jacksonbart, love your set up and room. Is that a Samsung DLP? what size is it and more importantly how do you like it. I'm starting to think about putting my 40" Sony CRT in my bedroom and setting a 50" or so Samsung.

If you are using the 6 channel inputs on your receiver then the DVD player is decoding the signal. Correct?
  5. Yes that was me. If your fotunate to have more then one reference dealer, I do not hesitate to ask if that's the best they can do and then go shop that price at another. 20% off is not that hard when you shop and have the cash to buy right then.
  6. Your right it should play. I have my SAT connected through the digital connection to my receiver and analog to my TV. If I want to listen to a non DD channel through my speakers I have to turn down or off the TV speakers.
  7. To answer your question...Yes. that will work and you will be into the 5.1 world.

I believe the cornwalls work pretty well down to at least 50Hz. Does this mean I have the wrong receiver for the job? Cornwall Mains, ForteII rears, RSW-12 sub, RC 3II center; Denon 1803 receiver ---------------- No your reciever is good. I would set your receivers cross-over at 80 hz. To propertly set your sub and speakers you need to have a good test DVD and a sound pressure meter.

I figure cartoons have better sound effects because all sound is added, whereas in a film with actors, only some efects are added. ---------------- The truth be known, all except some of the actors voice is added back at the sound room. There are a lot of times even when some of the dialog is added over.
  10. I always find it amazing how many movies are remakes. I guess Hollywood is running out of ideas. Go Bollywood.
  11. There worth whatever some one will give. The RF-7 are worth the most. The Synergy SS and KSW are worth very little and would even think of using them in the same system as the RF-7. In mint condition I would give $1,000 for the RF-7's and $125 for the RC-3.
  12. My advice if you want to stay in the Ford Family; The Excape Hybrid. They should be out shortly and get great gas milage. Other then that it all depends on the size and space you need.

  14. Thst's true. I don;t know how old your DVD player is but keep in mind Dolby Digital also represents 2.0, 4.0 it's not always 5.1. But use your DVD remote and find the setup menue on your DVD and check the output settings.
  15. Yes you need to set the output on your DVD player from PCM to Dolby Digital.
  16. I feel both are very good units and you will be hard pressed to see any difference. I would go with the one that looks best (matches) with the rest of your system.
  17. Yes very nice..I'm glad Klipsch decided not to keep paying Monster Cable extra to place there advertisement on there speakers.
  18. My suggestion...get your reciever on-line if you live in a small town. You can get any brand receiver and typically at a better price. Check to make sure they are authorized reseller. Even though I live in a medium size town (400,000) I still bought my receiver (Yamaha) on line through Crutchfields.
  19. Cool and welcome to the Klipsch family.

    Did I overdo it?

The only thing I would caution on is the height of the surround speakers in relationship to your seating position. One advantage of wall speakers is that there will be no obstruction.

    I agree, very cool ending.
  22. I think either Toshiba or Sony make a progressive scan under 100. You probable cannot find a Denon for that.
  23. Best Buy has them both for 2 for $20. Yes they are worth owning and I thought Chronicles was awsome.
  24. I second that. Bump the level up then play a DVD with good surround mix. Now keep in mind not all movies are going to have a lot of sound comming from them, only ambiance.
  25. Not sure either, if it does it's probable in the inside.
