  1. welcome to the forum. i am sure that everyone here will want to see pictures of the speakers and do you have a price in mind. that will be a great help in selling them on here Bill
  2. He said he was in the Height`s area of little rock and i dont remember his name. I was calling to see if he might have a set of Belle`s or LaScala`s but no such luck. he told me about a lot of gear but did not say anything about Mcintosh or i would have gone over to have a look. bill
  3. I called an add in the paper today about the Rosewood Khorns. The owner has had them 20+years. He also has a set of Heresey`s in Rosewood that he says PWK hand picked the wood for; If anyone is interesed send me an e mail and will give you the number. I also told him about the klipsch web site and that he should come in and offer them on here. Bill
  4. Hello to the fellow hams. I took the tower down last summer and have sold all of the radios except for the hand held. too many parking lots and business`s with high power lights and so much noise it was too much to bare. I could point North East and that was it. Plus i work 2nd shift so i would miss out on the good DX and all of the real good rag chewing. "Sure do miss it though". One of the best times i had working on a tower was for a now silent key. 80ft off the ground changing a tail twister out of 45g for a 40 meter mono bander with a force 12 log above it. The Thunderbirds were putting on an air show at Little Rock Air Force Base, And would fly around me on the tower. Once they realized i was up there; they would fly by and wave back to me.It was great. the silent key had 300+ confirmed countries only needed 5 or 6 to have them all. Sadly he did not get them all. 73`s for now Bill KJ5DQ
  5. Does anyone have any specs from testing these to compare against wooden Khorns. Duck calls made from acrylic are very had to tune and are very temperature sensitive. Also did they make any other Klipsch speakers like this for display? Bill
  6. To stay on the wife`s good side nothing says i love you like Diamonds; some flowers will help and of course a new wardrobe..then you can tell her we cant afford new speakers. Now i have to figure out how i am going to Pay for more Klipsch and get her Diamonds for our 25th anniversary next January. Bill
  7. I would love a set of KLIPSCH for the Silverado. Infact my wife told me a month ago that i should look into getting some for it. That thought she had heard an advertisement for them. Had my hopes up for awhile. Then Klipsch could get into speakers for the business jets that i work on. A little speaker that goes in an area about 6X9 runs about $500 and 10 per plane they could make some money. I would much rather tell someone that i have Klipsch in my ride than even to mention bxxxe. Bill
  8. Thanks for offering it here first. but you might want to put it on e bay and set the reserve price at what you want and see what happens. I see a nice set of KLIPSCH speakers in your future. Bill
  9. Take some music or a dvd and go and listen for yourself. It all comes down to what your ears like. If the store wants to make a sale they will be more than happy to help you in your quest. In taking your own music you can compare the same source on the different systems. Just remember that Klipsch is what all other`s are compared to and have been for a very long time. Bill
  10. First impressions will last a life time. A properly set up pair of Khorn`s driven by Mcintosh spinning BOSTON in the 77-78 era will put you on a path to try to get that special sound at home. Not there yet but getting close; Heresy`s and LaScala`s come close but still not the magic. I will have to keep my eyes open for a set of Belles and Khorns and of course Mcintosh.
  11. Correct me if i am wrong. if the one i found on ebay doing a search is the one you bought and you used the buy it now feature and paid with a credit card; he has your money right? then tell him that you want the speaker or you will press charges aginst him for fraud and if this is across state lines that should raise it too a higher level. on the other hand if you have not paid for it yet and were going to pay when you went to pick it up i would say you are out of luck. just my 2 cents worth Bill
  12. Hello There has been a set of Rosewood Khorn`s in the local paper. they have been listed about 3 times over the last couple of months. they are asking $4000 obo. Just down the road in Little Rock. If interested i will look up the number and pass it on. i my call myself to see what kind of condition they are in and see if i can go look at them. i would love to have them but i dont want to get a divorce at this time and i know that is what would happen if i bought them. Bill
  13. Congrats to Roger and Cindy. Have they dedided on a name yet? PW has a good ring to it. MY best to everyone Bill
  14. I think they would make nice plant stands; or you could put some carpet on the and use them for cat scratching posts. KLIPSCH ROCKS THE WORLD AND ARE THE BENCH MARK FOR ALL OTHERS. Bill
  15. Hello and welcome. I cant answer your question myself but there are others here that can just give them time to read the thread. or do a search for that topic and you will be amazed at what you will find. bill
  16. Well since no one has asked what will you take for the Lascala`s. But then i would be back in the dog house again!!!!!!!!! Bill
  17. Congrats on the LaScala`s they look great. the one`s i got last year looked small in the guy`s garage; didnt think much about the size until i got them home and in the house boy are they big but the sound is also VERY BIG. Enjoy Bill
  18. Welcome to the forum. And congraulations on the Klipsch I bought mine in 82 and they have three numbers before the letter and three after ie. 000y000 some one else will have to tell you exactly when they were made. You will just have to give them time to read this thread and they will let you know. did you get the one`s that have been on e bay in alaska? Bill
  19. go ahead and get the RF7`s because you will wonder what it would sound like with them anyway. And then of course you will want the RC7 and the RS7`s. My best friend has that R 7 set up and it is awsome. I run LaScala`s and heresy`s with a KLF C-7 center and want more LaScala`s or Belle`s it never ends my friend. Bill
  20. We feel your RAGE and your PAIN... Who was the shipper as this seems to be happening more and more with them all. Bill
  21. my neighbor works for skippy how much do you think it will take to fill the pvc? And i will see what i can do. Bill
  22. there is a pair of Heresy`s in Charleston SC on Ebay for $300 buy it now price. Not LaScala`s but Heresy`s sound great and for that price and that close i would be buying them. just a thought Bill
  23. Sorry i didnt read the whole opening thread. Plus i have been some tight places tonight inside one of Honeywell`s airplanes
  24. Where are they located? Anywhere close to Little Rock?
  25. Ok i had to go look at my 20 year old Heresy`s and they do match 621 and 622. Never gave it much thought; but have always been impressed with the wood grain match and love to show them off. I was always under the impression the PWK meant for the Belle to be a center channel for the Khorns. I know i have seen many advertising photo`s this way. Just my impression though. I will one day have a set of Belle`s for my front mains if i can find a set within driving distance of Little Rock. Bill
