The last I heard (June 03) there are no immediate plans (no rush) to bring the domestic 2-way version into production. They were having some issues with finding a source to produce the mid-high frequency horn to specification. And I don't think they had decided on the material the final production model will be built with. Add to that, the fact that Klipsch is currently introducing so many low-priced models of speakers, it's their priority to attend to these high volume money makers first. From the Klipsch Product Search, select 'Professional Cinema' -> 'Behind-the-Screen' -> KPT-Jubilee By the way, welcome to the Forum ---------------- Hel, I beleve that artto is exactly right about Indy-Klipsch and the Jubilee.....and that IS Heresy....Like mixing a 50 year old Rothchild with a bottle of Ripple. 5. I forgot R. Trower.... Brutal... A youngster asked me " Who was the best Rock guitar player you ever heard live". " Who was the best electric blues player you ever heard live"? The ansewer was the same for both. James Marshal Hendrix I saw him the first time in the early days......but when I saw him in Feb of 70...... Terry

Should be in the top ten, at least in my opinion. Guitar Magazine's list makes a lot more sense than the Rolling Stones one, though. And by the way, where is Mato Nanji of Indigenous on either list? That dude can literally channel SRV on stage - a hell of a guitar player! A "must hear" in a concert venue, CD's can't capture the kind of show Mato puts on. Anyone else seen Indigenous in concert? ----------------
  7. Oh My. You girls sucked me in again. People that I have listened to live............ 1. Henderix ( # 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 ) 2. Beck (I agree is a sleeper) 3. Stevie Ray ( a Jimi person) 4. 11. I dont know Dean. I wouldnt be surprised to see the bass horn "cannibalized" by the money hungry pro theather gang. I think that it would a sin to waste PWKs last gift. Terry
  12. I cant beleve that I have been sucked into this topic again. But,...... I will match 4 CWs in a 2 channel system against any 2 cornerhorns and slam them to death. But, the CW box is weak. I am a CW lover, and always thought that the design was perfect. I was wrong. I have installed most of the "tweeks' and have noticed an inprovment after each one. Upgraded X-overs, caulked mids and tweeter, extra 3/4" bracing on the back. 1"x1" steel bracing on the motor board. The works. Moral of the story? Dont back away from the mods. Play with placement. Play with all of it. Tune the room. tc
  13. " My intent as stated"...... Tony, I eluded a very direct and possable offensive question to Klipsch in the "trip to Indy" thread a while back. " Did you guys see the Jubilee"? Where is it? Does Mrs. Klipsch have it in her garage? " If you are not going to build the thing, publish the CAD drawings so that we can". " Will the bass bin design be used for ($) pro theater only"? I think that I know where you are coming from. Keep pushing. Keep on keeping on. Regards, Terry
  14. ---------------- On 9/2/2003 12:22:48 AM aforst wrote: Terry, Ports on the floor? Do you mean without the risers? ---------------- Well that too. But mostly that the CW on top has the ports in the air. Only one set of ports are coupled to the floor. That is the reason that I wonder what a double bass bin would be like. Both ports on the floor, tweets and mids stacked and in line. In other words, 2 CWs in one (wide) box. Regards, Terry

Two Khorns / One CW center. Four CWs? ......Well,.... WALL!!!....No tower sound. Remove all breakable objects from room.... Terry
  17. Aforst, That is the way I stack my four CWs. Tweets & Mids need to be on same axis IMO. I think that the bottom would sound better with the ports on the floor. I have considered building a "double CW bass bin" with the horns on axis and on top. Anyway, four CWs stacked are a real "boot in the chest" as you know by now. In your face & Explosive!! Congrats and welcome to Phi Slamma Jamma. Terry

I am convinced the ML had two strikes against it: 1) it is scaled to deliver 100+ Watts which means the first Watt is compromised, (depending on the quality of the SS amps that you are using) and 2) direct coupled ss is not a way to achieve low distortion at low power. ( Who asked for low power?) ( and Tony runs S.M's lovely 7-T SS preamp W/ Mods) The P6D was designed with sub-Watt low distortion in mind. I have resisted going to 20 Watts because I don't want to compromise the first Watt. ( so we should not consider anything from 2w to 420w?) Jim T...can you help with a Mac SS testimony? Dean, you owned M-117s. How about that first Watt? ....Just an atempt to stir things up ...the BB has become a bit tame lately.....Terry N. 19. Could it have been male pattern baldness or the Monkey hearing spectrum. Terry
  20. Tony, I agree with your comments. A classic example of what makes our hobby (quest/life)so complicated.I entered this BB as a very opinionated "SS oldster". Now I consider things. Bottom line? Write them a check and tell them to hold it for a week. Take it home and listen. Will it ever end? I dont think so. Wanted to get the 2-3 channel right before I got into HT. I guess I am doomed to black&white. tc

  22. "I set them them on top of my Cornwall....." Jim, Did you disconnect the CW mids and push the X-Over point back to 500cps? John has convinced me about the 511s, especially if I can buy (steal) the Mac 30s & 20 preamp for the top end. Regards, Terry

  25. Tony, I am in the foundation biz and was called to a small country church in Northwest AR. that wants to build a new building. They were using the Mac's to drive the oldest Heresys that I have ever seen. The unfinished wood looked like it was recovered from a large boat filled with animals. I told them that I wanted the amps and they said OK. I have explored the possibility of Bi-amping the 4 CWs using my M-117s for the bottom and some nice little tubes for the top W/Passive X-Overs and Altec horns. They worked last Sunday. What are they worth? Anyone? I know that I can get them for a song. Just dont want to "go to hell" in the process. tc
