  1. Thanks for the inquiry on the speakers. I just unpacked them from the van this evening as we didn't have time to get them unloaded yesterday. I took a few pics of them tonight and I'll try to get them uploaded so you can check them out. If you remain interested, just drop me a PM (private message) and we can discuss. These are a little rough around the edges but sound wonderful.
  2. I was only able to watch the first two periods but those included some pretty exciting hockey! It was great to see the Wings get tested a bit in this series. I would much prefer that to them just (forgive the pun) skating through to the second round. Go Wings!!
  3. Hey, David: You're sounding more like Mickey (Redmond) everyday! LOL Well, I figure that the playoffs, "are no place for a nervous person," and we needed a little, "bingo-bango," to get the job done! []
  4. Thanks for the info, Tony. I need to take a few pics of these as they are most likely not in nearly as nice of shape as are yours. I'm thinking that they are probably worth somewhere in the $400 range but am unsure. I'm going to loan them to my Dad for the time being and swap out some of his gear which includes an older pair of Infinity speakers. I'm sure he'll love these.
  5. Unfortunately I had to miss what would seem to be the best game of the series thus far! 54 shots on goal??? They threw everything at him but the kitchen sink!
  6. Brilliant, right from the get-go! [] http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/31531/269745.aspx#269745

  8. That's interesting. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I didn't pay too much attention to the ruling at the time other than to form the opinion that the league had been calling it one way all year and seemed to change it on that particular goal. Belfour was definitely in top form that year. Crazy Eddie rides again!
  9. I knew there was a reason I was rooting for them that year! []
  10. I didn't pay too much attention to the aftermath of the Stanley Cup victory that year although I would state that Hull's foot was in the crease and the goal should have been negated. Isn't that the year the Stars beat the Wings?
  11. I have a pair of KLF-20s that I purchased a few years back. They are taking up space in my basement and need to find a new home. I have seen them go in the $600 range on ebay but don't recall what kind of shape those were in. I would say that these are in fair shape (although my "fair" could be someone else's poor and yet another's "good"). Frankly I haven't looked at them very closely in quite some time so I cannot say exactly how they look. I do recall that at least one of them has a scratch on the top and seem to recall that one has a small piece of the veneer missing at the back edge of one of the sides. I would be interested in reading your thoughts on the fair price range for KLF-20s at different condition levels. I don't have any pics on my hdd or I could post them for you. I'll try to get some pics uploaded this evening. They have the medium oak finish.
  12. Picky-I agree. The Wings have enough talent where they don't need a goalie who is going to steal a game, or even a series, during the playoffs. They do, however, need one who will not lose a game for them. Dom gave up an absolutely horrible goal immediately after the Wings had scored which just sucked the life out of the team. Babcock made the appropriate call when he pulled the Dominator, I mean the Deucenator, for Osgood. I'm betting he rides Osgood for as long as he can. Whatever the outcome of the goalie situation one thing is sure; that the Predators have had their hope restored. Something that was nearly gone until the end of game three.
  13. This update does not have any benefits if you are using the optical out on the PS3, correct? My pre does not have an HDMI input on it so I'm taking the hdmi from the PS3 directly to my projector and using the optical out to my pre. I will need to upgrade my pre in order to take full advantage of the HD sound as I understand it.
  14. Wings lose 5-3 last night. I started getting nervous when the Wings went into defensive mode with around 10-12 minutes left in the third with a one goal lead. I thought this was a mistake and would have preferred to see them continue attacking the net.
  15. I'd love to see the Bruins make it past the first round as well. Tim Thomas, their goalie, and I graduated from the same high school. He was about three years behind me and I didn't know him but it's always good to see a hometown boy do well for himself. Another nice game by the Wings (and the Preds, although they lost)! Those two goals that came just after the penalty on Hasek made it appear as if they got "inside his head" a bit. I wonder if they will make that a part of their strategy for the series.
  16. That was pretty special given all he's been through.
  17. There are (or at least were) some fairly close ties between the Red Wings and the Stars. Wasn't it Mike Ilitch's (owner of the Red Wings and Tigers franchises) daughter whose husband has a fairly high position in their organization? I watched a large portion of that game last night as well. Go Dallas!!! They outplayed Anaheim and deserved the win. Looks as if this one is going to be an old-time-hockey type of series! I love it!
  18. Round One: Detroit Red Wings vs. Nashville Predators Great game for the Wings tonight. I was able to watch most of the game until about a third of the way through the 3rd period when my wife made me go to the after-hours clinic. Came home with a script and learned that they had won the game, 3-1! Congrats to the Wings on an excellent game and first victory of the 2008 playoffs! I thought they outplayed the Predators throughout the game but admit to being a little worried when Nashville tied it up. How many times have we seen the Wings dominate all aspects of the game only to lose on the scorecard. Fortunately, the playoff experience of the team has paid off in this first game and they pulled out a victory. Game 2 is Saturday at 2pm Eastern.
  19. My RF-7s are sitting on top of carpeting which lies over a concrete floor (in our basement). I never installed the feet. One note of caution: with little ones running around the feet may provide the extra stability needed to prevent the speakers from tipping over if bumped.
  20. What an absolute tragedy, Glenn. My prayers go out to you and yours. Thankfully your grandaughter was safe inside (and Verna and Rose were sheltered from seeing this). It always shakes you up when things like this happen so close to home. Take care, Glenn.

    SOCOM Confrontation

For those who are interested: Release date: Sept 2008
  22. How about a match between Carrot Top & that red headed comic (can't remember her name; Griffen?)
  23. I'm not sure I understand why Klipsch would be interested in this, unless the poster desires to reproduce these for sale? My thought was that he is looking to replace the plastic faceplate of his personal speakers.
