I really thought I checked things carefully this time: I consulted my horoscopist, meditated staring in my coffeecup AND refreshed the Klipsch page to see if the offer was real and honest!
  2. Hi Greg, in reply to those nice corns a few questions. These are I's right? This means that they don't have the K77. Could you explain? Tim.
  3. Of course if you bought Gregg a round trip ticket to Amsterdam plus E1,000 I'm sure he would deliver those beauties he is selling. Anybody of this forum is more than welcome to give me a call when they are in Holland. The pocketmoney though is not necessary, a little green bag and a box of Heineken together with great music should do the trick. If Cornwalls or K-Horns can be taken with you (as handluggage perhabs) a bonus is appropriate though! Any soldiers coming to Germany, Belgium or Holland with a little spare space? Well, now we are getting back to the old question: Cornwall VS Cornwall II. I have a feeling that's been discussed her before. I'll dive into the dungeons of this forum and have look. In the meantime feel free to comment. I was also considering the Corns offered by Kievitt in General Queations, but after the initial enthousiasm (I have to learn how to control that), maybe they are not mint enough to take the hassle to ship them. I hope he does not mind too much that I wasted his time. Tim.
  4. I know what you mean. In Holland they are probably non existant, so I'm even considering having them shipped from the USA, which will cost me just as much or more that the corns themselves! Anyone? Tim. (Desperately insisting to blow all his money on audio)
  5. I don't really want to be reminded of my horrific experience, but here goes. I got offered a 2nd chance offering on mc-30's through a fraudulent e-mail. I discovered that 1 hour after I sent my check. There was a warning at 2 channel. I can't remember the title of the thread, but my discovery, panic and useless tries to cancel were 'live' on this site. Read it and weep. Saved for a long time and now the money's down the drai into a criminal's hand. I haven't gone back to e-bay since. Also still waiting for 2 records, long overdue. So, from now on I hope to get lucky through this website. If any of you see a good set of mc 30's or an affordable set of corns, you know who you can make a happy man. I will ask this a few more times, so everybody knows. From the time I spent here, I know that at least I can trust you guys! (To end this note with a little bit of optimism) Also a bit late, but very well meant: Happy New Year!

Seriously - I cannot figure out what the middle box is - a sub perhaps? ---------------- The coffin is actually a time capsule that brings you back to exactly one minute before you proudly showed your new speakers to your wife. If, due to cosmic interference, your timeleap fails, you can be buried in it! Imagine what would happen if your cat managed to crawl in and you didn't notice it?
  7. ---------------- On 1/18/2005 6:27:52 PM rtaylor wrote: Timmi, hope you have some better luck this year buying equipment. Did you ever get any satisfaction out of this. Any of the bad guys get caught? Randy ---------------- Thanks, the local police did not find my case important enough to send it through to authorities in the USA, after my complaint they said, do it yourself. When I tried that, the USA police told me they needed input from Dutch Police. That was the time I bough myself a bottle of great Scotch and put Giant Steps on. What happened then I don't exactly rememeber, but for some reason I woke up with a feeling to start again (with a splitting headache ) Tim
  8. I was looking at those mc's, but suddenly they dissappeared from ebay search engine, but stayed in my ebay. I did not bid, because I'm a bit paranoid, for the ones that still don't know, I got scammed out of more than $1500.- a little while ago over mc'30's. So, I lost out of a now presumably legal looking sale. O well, in any case, if any Klipsch forum member wants to sell their mc-30's, I hope he remembers me, I assure you they will get a good home and over my dead body I will resell them for a bit of petty cash, Lord knows I can never make profit over them now, but some time I WILL have them hooked up on my Heresy's. Tim. BTW: Happy New Year (bit late, but that's the story of my life, still very well ment though! )

Life's full of learning through experience, some, like the Twins, are fun and some not so. Welcome back. ---------------- Actually, I am Tim, quoting Michael. Please do not make these kind of mistakes with positive negative and dead wires, watts, ohms and volts.

Is that more what you had in mind? And always know where your towel is.... Want a quick tutorial on the using VOM for resistance checking, ie, to see if a speaker or line is shorted? Michael ---------------- Don't forget: Unplug if smoke fills the room and ... Don't Panic! This is my first posting after weeks since I let myself get scammed with those mc-30's. Then I had to move and ever since I've been living out of boxes (in my new house, not inside boxes). Finally on the net again with dial in, because the ##$^&^companies are experimenting with my patience to get broadband. Great to be back at the restaurant at the end of the universe! Oh, wanna hear my last FU? Plugged my radio in that I took with me from my visit to the states years ago, forgot to put the transformer in between. ZAP! Fortunately I did not do that to my lovely 272 acquired from Craig, then I don't think you would have ever heard from me again after all that's happened. Happy New Year all. Tim
  11. I'll make a 1/ integrated tube: Scott 272 or 299 2/ integrated ss: No experience 3/ tubed monoblocks: Mc 30's 4/ phono preamp: Wright phonostage 5/ linestage: Beard CA 506 (also has a great phonostage) 6/ turntable: VPI scout 7/ (SA)cd player: Meridian 806 ----------------
  12. As the holy grail was mentioned here and this season calls for more 'best of'lists. To make it all within human's reach I put max 2nd hand prices behind. You don't have to follow these rules, but then also mention your alternative if for instance you mention a $75.000 TT. 1/ integrated tube ($1500.-) 2/ integrated ss (1500.-) 3/ tubed monoblocks ($3000.-) 4/ phono preamp ($1500.-) 5/ linestage ($1500.-) 6/ turntable ($4000,-) incl. cart by choice (mention it) 7/ (SA)cd player ($2000.-)

(GEC UK). ---------------- It depends on exactly what they are. Put up a picture if you can. NOS could easily be worth $100+ a tube. ---------------- As I'm in the middle of moving to another house and my pc refuses to send anything other than a few lines of text, I'll send the specs later. thanks. (the tubes are already moved) Thanks! Maybe it can make up my mc30's FU. Still need 2 monoblocks though. I'm on the search list of Terry for a pair. Thanks, Tim.
  14. those are definitely gargle and drool! What is a good quad of KT66 worth anyway. (GEC UK). A friend of mine gave me 2 quads as a return favor, one NOS, one used, haven't tested them.
  15. If I were living in the USA, that would mean my girlfriend would dump me, so no ring needed! Therefore option 2! Then I would buy an RV, put my equipment in it and travel the US visiting all forummembers that allow me in for a listen. I'll bring the wine and cheese! =:< (smileys don't work this time)
  16. Phew, that is a horrorstory! Very glad no one was hurt. Even though rationally you can say it was not your fault, it will always haunt you and yes, in those moments our passion seems trivial. (for a day) Also very glad you were not transporting those huge tsiki.. Tsiari, **** lost it, amps you recommended to Dean! Tim.

Can I borrow those navy seals buddies for a day? (Some unsolved business in NY) Tim.
  18. I have about 600 of the thousand worst albums ever, but before I complete my collection I'm gonna put it at the trash, since I'm moving anyway. Any Dutch bad taste lovers interested? Yes, I have contacted the seller of the mc 30's with my address change, do you think I'm stupid? Tim. (it won't be long any more, a few more references to my little stumble and I've completed my therapy).
  19. < Hey Tim, glad to see you're not too down, any luck on finding the b8astard?Hope you have a great holiday season, randy ---------------- [/blockquote> You should meet me in daily life Well I was, but it was kind of a rational decision I made that even if that $%%$^ emptied me, he will not ruin me mentally. I might be a bit sarcastic at you guys, hope you understand Have a great season all you! Tim.
  20. (probably wondering why I had it in my basement to begin with - don't ask). So why did you have it in your basement?
  21. As Santa knows where everybody lives, my wish would be that he'd have a short pitstop in all conartists' bedroom for the raindeer to releave themselves after a 7 course dinner, including bean and cheese burrito, beansoup and raw onions. Tim (getting more and more sarcastic). (better than cynical) Best inspiration of humour has always been misery, accidents and stupidity.
  22. Dodger: address is correct. e-mail is deepsleeps@aol.com. Tim.
  23. There's also a NewYork State Internet Fraud Unit. Will Post that. Did you file a report with your own Agency so they can forward the info Officially? thanks, dodger ---------------- Hi, I filed a report at my local PD. I wonder how long it will take them, if thet will act at all. I'll be a nuisance to hurry them though. I could make a translation and send it to whoever thinks they can use it. On another note. I just visited my bank today and they say I can easily take out a small loan at low cost, because I have a longtime running good reputation. So, I decided this XXXhole will not influence my life sofar that I will not go for what I've allways wanted; a set of mc 30's. I'll make a new thread of this anyway, but keep your eyes open for me. For some reason I prefer outside of eBay and someone you forummers know. Later on that.Tim. persisitant little biter am I not?
  24. BTW other problem solved. My mother had a bad flu attack that apparently gave her dizzyspells, but after right medication all's fine now. Great work guys! ---------------- Hi Tim: Out of curiousity, how was the other part resolved - by what Agency? Thanks dodger ---------------- Sorry, Now I'm confused. The scam is not resolved in any way, the other problem was just that I was concerned of my mother's health and that I had to focus on that, but as I said, that's better now. Tim.
  25. Sjeez, now I received another 2nd chance offer on the same item I got scammed with! I think my best action is to run for the postoffice and send him a WU moneyorder! This one with a different name ofcourse. BTW other problem solved. My mother had a bad flu attack that apparently gave her dizzyspells, but after right medication all's fine now. Great work guys!
