  1. you'll get more help in the promedia forums (scroll down on main page).....but iBooks have miniplug output if I'm not mistaken....which means the Promedia THX are a much better fit having more power and better sound.
  2. lol, the klipsch logo is not upside down....look here: http://www.klipsch.com/media/Products/593_large.jpg the klipsch logo points outward just like your's......
  3. Wha wha what??!! So Fedex called you up and said they can't find it? Damn fools. I say push them for compensation.

That'll be at least as good as Monster cable, and a fair site cheaper, to boot. ---------------- promedia only fit up to 14 gauge, and the monster which is 16 gauge barely fits as it is (bare ended)....and the klipsch monster kit gives you a lot of cable for the price, plus it comes with banana plugs installed
  5. don't worry about it, i like my meat still mooing.
  6. i was reading that audio heritage website the other day, and apparently WE stuff was the very first in what I guess you would call modern sound reproduction. They had a virtual monopoly up until the 40s I believe. So the original stuff is always collectible. I doubt they sound super duper from what I read.
  7. my uncle has a pair of 901s cuz hes a dumb rich yuppy....anyway to my point they sound no better than a really cheap pair of floorstanding JBLs or Klipschs. You buy bose and you waste money.
  8. i saw it once, the show consists of basically what the title is; hurting this guy named burt. The one I saw they had some guys throw eggs at him.

  10. I recently downloaded this ambient song called Iceland Theme recently and I really liked it. Anyone know of similar songs that I would like?

  12. OK, so its not Klipsch stuff, but I don't know of a place better to put this. I'm a young kid starting college this January and need some cash. Here is what I have to offer: The FW748P is a 80watt RMS (2x20 front, 20 center, 2x10 rear) 5.1 Mini-system w/ Dolby Pro Logic II. 3 Disc CD player. Dual Tape deck. 40 preset Digital tuner. I originally paid $300 for it about 3 1/2 years. So I think $180 is a reasonable asking price. It includes all 5 original speakers. I have 2 Bose Interaudio 2000 Bookshelf speakers as well. 5.25in fiber composite woofer, circular front port, and 1.5in metallic tweeter. Handles up to 75watts continuous. 20ft of radio shack 16 gauge wire supplied for each speaker. Originally paid $199 a piece about 6 years ago. Will take $110 per speaker or best offer. Also up for grabs is some old Pioneer Project 60 bookshelfs (appears to be from the early 80s). 8in woofer, 1in horn type tweeter. Max input power of 20watts. No clue how much they originally cost, so I'll sell them for $20 a piece. These are great Christmas gifts for younger family members, or would fit nicely in a spare room or office. I would prefer a buyer that lives in the greater Phoenix area, but will self-deliver as far as Tuscon or Flagstaff on a weekend. Will ship if you are from another part of the US, but you will pay the shipping charges. My email address is steve@blackproject.org, or you can PM me, your choice.

    New KoRN!

After being disappointed with Issues and Untouchables I am very pleased with Take a look in the mirror. It definitely harkins back to the the original self-titled album. Not syntheseised as far as I can tell and only one rap song.
  14. i had noticed this a few days ago....very odd
  15. I didn't read every post and probably didn't need to. A lot of people buy the 5.1 speakers for their PC and expectall 5 speakers to produce sound out of the box on a stereo stream. But that does not happen unless you enable the soundcard's software algorithms to pruduce a 5.1 stream, which many people don't ever do or maybe weren't aware of. If its Creative sound blaster enable CMSS and if its M-Audio Revo enable Circle Surround II. I highly doubt its the speakers that are causing the trouble.
  16. Well my name is really dumb. SMM is my initials (first name is Steve), and 5/7/86 is my DOB. I'm been a hardcore computer geek for the last 5 years and I still don't have a cool handle, probably never will. Anyway its just been in the past year I've started to become an audiophile. Being only 17 you can sympathize as to why I only have Promedia Ultra 5.1. I do like to browse around the entire Klipsch forum and find many of the members to exude knowledge that I am trying to absorb as best I can.
  17. I've administrated many forums over the years, and I can tell you its a simple Admin CP setting for when logged off users time out. The default time is 15 minutes, so when a member or guest is not active on the site they "time out" and are no longer on the list of active users at the bottom to show a more accurate picture of the popularity of a forum. Anyway the forum admin obviously hasn't been around since this was also posted about in the Website section as well. I would hope he shows up sometime and realizes what needs to be done.
  18. I've been into audio since I was very young. I love music, I listen to music 70% of my freetime. I am a neophyte audiophile and want to finally invest some money into a system. A HT system I don't think would make sense for me. I really don't watch movies all too often and I really can't afford it. Here is the question I pose; do I go for a RF-35 / RW-10 2.1 setup with a H/K stereo receiver, or do I go for a RB-35 / RW-8 4.1 setup with a H/K 5 ch receiver? The 4.1 is inherently more expensive but is it worth it? Or will I get more bang for the buck on the 2.1?
  19. I'd say in the long run you will be much happier with the RB-35s. You won't any second guessing guilt nagging you. Spend a little extra and step up to the reference series.
  20. I saw a RB-15 based setup with a RW-8 sub for little more than $900 at the local shop here. Thats what I would have a look at, assuming its in your price range.
  21. Currently I can only afford Promedia 5.1 Ultra (yea I'm a poor young kid), but I've heard both the RF-7s and Khorns, and all I can say is if you have either one and are considering jumping ship you need professional help immediately
