  1. The three people who have posted previously have owned this unit. You are selling after a couple months. You bought it from rockhound, who owned it a few month. He got it from silversport. I don't know how long he owned it, but this begs the question why this receiver keeps selling after only a few months of ownership? Feel free to PM me.
  2. Wow, I have been looking at this very receiver on Ebay and the Audio Asylum Trader. I am driving back from the Klipsch Pilgrimage. I'll check back when I get home this evening.
  3. A couple cups of robusto down. Getting ready for another day in the Klipsch Audio sandbox. Life is good.
  4. I catch a whiff of coffee, as a wisp of steam rises from my morning cup. It's a good start for my day. First off to take my grandson to school, a final house walk through at 9 for my friend's buying a house here and this afternoon, setting up another friend's new digital audio server. The count down has begun. Hope and Bodcaw in my future. Speaking of which, I posted a couple pieces in the Pilgrimage for sale thread.

  6. I can bring these to Hope this week, if someone wants them. If no interest, I'll just leave them here. 7. First cup of coffee down. Now off to take the grandson to school. Then later this morning I continue the job of putting up wainscot on the living room ceiling, at my friend's mom's house. This not having a job sure is tiring. By the way, I will be in Hope on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.
  8. The bath room remodel was such a success, the lady now has me redoing her mother's living room. She, too, wants the wainscot on the ceiling. Then a nice coat of paint on the walls. That is, after I remove the wallpaper. Time for some coffee and get ready for my day.
  9. Good morning all. Trying some Café Bustilo 100% Columbian coffee this morning. This is a good start for my day. I'm going to mow my neighbor's yards. She is 78. Load Microsoft Office 365 on my brother in law's computer. Finally, spend the rest of the day getting my taxes in order.
  10. No matter where you go, there you are.
  11. There are many roads to audio nirvana. While the ultimate goal may be the destination, don't forget to enjoy the ride. - Wardsweb
  12. Hello all, just checking in so you know I'm still alive. Still no regular job, so I have been doing some handy man odd jobs to keep busy and grab some quick cash. Just finishing up a two week bathroom remodel for a friend. Going to hang some flat screens on Saturday and some wireless security cameras on Sunday. Then next week, running amuck in the audio sandbox with a few friends.
  13. I woke this morning to a flat tire. Aired it up and drove over to Discount Tire. One screw in the middle of the tread and a nail by the edge of the sidewall. Time for a new tire. Luck = preparation meets opportunity I have the replacement warranty, so I get a free tire. Actually, this is the 3rd tire they have replaced for free in the last year. It was getting time for new tires anyway, so I purchased the other back tire. I prefer to replace tires in pairs. Now for a cup of Sumatra dark roast.
  14. Alas, the job hunt continues. It is a tough market here. Especially for senior level management. My sister's unexpected passing a few weeks back has had me doing a lot of soul searching, thinking about life, what-ifs and tomorrows or lack there of. I have always been a work-a-holic. Maybe it is time to slow down and smell the roses? Maybe do something for the fun of it and not for the money. There may be a job out there dealing with audio. Now wouldn't that be a fun gig?
  15. I have JRiver 20 and JRiver 21 installed on a Windows 10 laptop without issue. I have used the USB out with three different DACs: Mobile Fidelity M1DAC, Auralic Aries Mini and Shiit Modi. I have also used the HDMI out to a receiver.
  16. Hello everyone. I haven't been here, as much lately. I'm not sure why, other than I no longer sit in front of a computer all day. I did have the longest interview in my life yesterday. I was there for four hours. This after I had already had a 45 minute phone interview and I still have a third interview next week. They sure do their due diligence. Hopefully it will all be worth it, even if it is a cut in pay. A couple more irons in the fire, as back up. On the up side, I am listening to a lot more music these days. I even hosted our local audio clubs fall party last weekend. That was a blast with music, food and friends. Even Direct Audio showed up with crates full of MoFi vinyl and other audio goodies for sale, door prizes and a big giveaway. No worries mate.
  17. I would love to be a fly on the wall when he first hears these. It is going to be life changing.
  18. I've posted this before. You may remember it.
  19. With a little TLC, those could be a nice pair of speakers for someone. Epicure M202 http://www.humanspeakers.com/e/epi202.htm
  20. Wow, it was 26 degrees when I drove into work today. Us southerners are not used to this.
  21. Ouch! Be careful man. Take the time to heal. Listen to some music.
  22. It was get on I-10 in San Antonio and off at Lafayette. Just a straight shot across. About 6 1/2 hours.
  23. I got to spend a nice weekend with friends. It doesn't get any better than a whole lot of music, drinking, eating and fun.
  24. It does have a nice esthetic appeal for me, but it will have to wait. I already have a speaker project that I hope to complete in January, seeing's how I will have some free time.
  25. Check this out. Some very talented and imaginative people with knowledge of ballistics, fluid dynamics, physics, time-motion study, etc... http://petapixel.com/2016/11/24/ok-go-music-video-shows-4-minutes-shot-4-seconds/
