  1. That's why I posted the thread. I have no idea what i would do with a fourth pair of heresys anyway. Now Khorns, that's another story!
  2. Good thing somebody in the forum jumped on these. I was afraid our friend emichaels0_0 was going to snap them up, drive from FL to SF to pick them up and then relist them on Ebay with the FLtax applied to the reserve price. Congrats Fini![]
  3. Anyone want to pick these up in San Fran Sisco and ship them to me? A good deal on Ebay?http://cgi.ebay.com/1986-Klipsch-Heresy-II-Stereo-Speakers_W0QQitemZ5865632053QQcategoryZ61378QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Let me know, Quick!
  4. So, did emichaels9_9 buy these? If so you can count on the "FLtax" being added to his "reserve" price.
  5. I'd bet he doesn't have 5 bills in each set. $200 profit on each would make for an easy $2K profit. I wonder if that would interest him especially if the buyer falls through?
  6. Hmmm, Expenses and beer! I'm 4 hours south of BH and have an 18 foot trailer that could carry the whole lot. Somebody figure out a fair price and a good place to split up the loot
  7. That's quite a collection. You figure anywhere from $50 to $100 shipping on top of the purchase price and he's got some expensive speakers there. Maybe he knows something we don't. Can someone corner the market on the heritage line? Wonder if his last name is Hunt?
  8. This person goes beyound sniping. They're in the business of buying and reselling. If you are buying hersy's from Ebay chances are the pair you buy made a trip to Tampa first. Your just paying the FL tax (his mark up). All his speakers have a reserve price, so he's covering his investment plus a profit. Don't fret living in OH though. I lived near Columbus when I bought my first Klipsch speakers, Cornwalls from a gentleman in Buffalo NY. Four hour drive each way. OH is centrally located and puts you within reach of many good buying opportunities. I hope Gary's friend get's his shot at those C's cause they are niiiiiice!
  9. emichaels0_0 will probably snipe them right out from under you, just because you want them!
  10. I don't know who "emichaels0_0" is but this person sure is snapping up the Klipsch speakers on Ebay lately. He just picked up a pair of KP-250's for $177 and with the shipping charges to Tampa he must have nearly $300 invested. Sure amazes me that someone can flip these speakers like that and turn a profit.
  11. Hey, me too! and I bet those components would make for a nice pair of custom Khorns. I'm only 4 hours away at that.
  12. Hmm, there's got to be a medical term for a condition like ours. I'm sure somebody out there can come up with the appropriate name for this syndrome.
  13. I've got two of these and use them with an Ipod and mobiblu. Use an A/C adapter in the wall. These are pretty cool but I've been wanting to put it in a nicer chassis and replace the speaker connects. I was wondering if anyone has found a source for a nicer aluminum or wood box to put these in.
  14. No, I think this guy caved in to the wifey. Me, I've got the La Scalas, the Cornwalls and now three pair of Heresys and I've been married 25 years to the same person. Not many people around anymore who can claim that. However, one day when the right opportunity comes along, I'll get the Khorns, but for now I have no complaints.
  15. I just picked up my third set of Heresys. A local sale on Ebay and I couldn't pass them up. They are 88 Heresy II HBR's with risers from the original owner. Get this, when I met him to pick these up he said that he and his wife had moved to a smaller location and needed more space. I causually said "well I hope you aren't buying Bose to replace these" and he looked at me and said yes he was. I said Oh no you're going to regret this. He said he'd had these since college and his wife didn't like the size or looks. Poor guy, maybe he's the one who needs help.
  16. I found that you can actually buy the heavy duty extension cords say from Lowes cheaper than buying the speaker wire. Buy the lenght and gauge you want and just clip off the plugs, cut the length you need and there you have it.
  17. I can't believe the price of Klipsch speakers lately. They seem to be going out of sight, like real estate in FL! This pair of Scalas is already at $1,028 with five days to go. Hmm, someone running up the price? http://cgi.ebay.com/KLIPSCH-La-Scala-Speakers_W0QQitemZ5856664998QQcategoryZ61378QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  18. sent him a link to this thread. Maybe he'll show it to his wife, or then maybe not
  19. He's been yanked. Good thing for him, probably a tar and feathering party in his future from this crowd. Good work guys!
  20. I just sent him a question asking how he can sell the same item that was just sold in an earlier auction. I wish Ebay could permanently expell these people. I won an auction recently on some speakers for a very good price. The winner emailed me and said that he had already sold them. Yeah, right. I reported him but it just agrivates the "youknowwhat" out of me when someone does that. Hope they boot this one too. Now that i got that off my chest I'm feeling better already.
  21. I won an ipod nano at a conference a few months back and hooked it up to an extra set of heresy speakers via a sonic T amp; the little 15 watt amp at everyone was chattering about a while back. Sounded pretty good coming from such a small package. The amp came with a mini jack split to a RCA stereo out connector cord. Big Sound from a small package!
