I'm in agreement with you Mike, but am going to hold off with my final judgement until tomorrow morning as it seems like she only checks her messages once a day. If I don't get a response tomorrow morning I'm reporting the auction to Ebay. I hate scammers! [D] -

I received a similar response this morning too. I replied back asking if a money order or cashier's check would be acceptable in lieu of paypal when the speakers were picked up. If this doesn't come back positive then this deal smells like a dead mullet to me. -

I've had no reply back today since the first one this morning. Funny how I got a reply real fast asking where they were located then nada when I asked for contact information. I might send another request tomorrow. I'm not going to put a dog in this hunt until I can verify that he (or she) really has something to offer up. -

The one response I got back was that they are located near Lake Nona which is just between the airport and 417 south of the Beeline. Not far from you at all Mike. However they never responded to my request for a contact number. I.....don't....know bout this one. -

I'm back; boy it's hot outside today! So I see the bidding has started; still no response back on a contact number. We'll have to wait and see now how things progress. Anyone on the forum in the bidding? -

No response back on the phone number request yet. I walked on a similar auction I won last month; the seller wouldn't allow an inspecton prior to me paying him and as it turned out the Khorns had been sold once before. Thanks to some slewthing by Groomslakearea51, the guy turned out to be trouble. We mutually agreed to end our dispute and parted ways. Oh and his Paypal protection is capped at $200. whoopee! I'm going out to cut the grass; back later [D] -

I got a message back saying that an inspection would be OK; replied back asking for a phone number. -
I'm sure thinking of pulling the BIN trigger on these. The pictures look familiar. Has anyone seen these listed before? I don't want to get caught up in another scam. The seller only has 6 prior feedbacks. I have sent the seller an email asking to inspect them first and am still waiting on a reply. If the plywood is in otherwise sound shape but for the gouges, I'd just fill the voids, sand to an even surface and veneer away. I'd love to have a pair of decorator cornwalls to match some decorator heresys; what a match. I say go for it. [D]

Here's a shot of a pair of cherry decorator heresy's using a Minwax antique finish and steel wool. That tung oil looks great too. -

OT: How many of you own Tankless Water Heaters?
klipschaholik replied to picky's topic in General Klipsch Info
Picky, natural gas tankless water heaters are the way to go. If you have natural gas in the house already it's even easier. Plus with tankless water heaters you can even use them as part of a hydroheat system for the whole house. Look at our website where you will find a test we ran on the Rinnai tankless unit.[D] http://www.okaloosagas.com/appliances/waterHeaters/waterheatertest.cfm -
groomslake, I won that auction. Sent you a PM gk

Well I made the 5.5 hour drive "oneway" trip to JC's Sunday and picked up the Jamboree and Crites woofers. JC you've got "1" Nice place for an audio fanatic. Best part of the whole trip was listening to the new Lascalas #1 and #2. Oh my, what an improvement over the earlier models and beautiful to boot! Stayed for an hour or so, talked about what else but "klipsch" got back in the suburban and headed home. The biggest news however was that when I got back home and checked my email I discovered that I was the winning bidder on a pair of Khorns. So now what am I going to do. I haven't told the wife and I know she's going to yell and screem and say somethings got to go so, the hard decision is coming. What's it going to be? [D]

If another weekend is better let me know. gk

JC, I'm 300 mi. south of you and really thinking about a road trip Saturday to get this Jam. Dana sent me a copy of his plans months ago after I saw the thread on these. If I can convence the wife to let me take a drive Sat. or Sunday I can save myself a lot of work. I need to check and see if it will fit my suburban first. Let me know if it's not already spoken for.
