  1. Ahhh - you're the infamous Elephant Man. I stand at attention to your prodigious protuberance.
  2. Carl - Please say Yes. Please ---
  3. I'm out of - my mind - Twisted. Shawnee KS - 20 miles W of KC MO Remember a few miles from Paola ?
  4. I'm out - you guys are Phar Phar too Phunny for me.
  5. Initiating some estate planning today and discovered a couple accounts that had been forgotten. And I WILL drink to that! Now that's nothing to laugh at ---! OK -I'm waitin' -
  6. Oh yeah - the HiFi forum for Comedy Central. Although this is much more refreshing than the mud that has been slung around here in recent weeks. I thiiiink that was mud. On second smell ----- (:
  7. Well after that show of the witty nature, and anything else between you two, I think I'm finished on CCC for the day. I believe a cup of strong, black and hot coffee is in order.
  8. Thank you, Sir Yeah it really is a nice piece. I will have no issue in keeping it but has taken the back seat to numerous tube amps.
  9. Designed/built in South Africa using 4x - 6922's in the preamp section and 6x - MOSFET' each channel in a dual mono design. Way more power than many here need but I can say you will be amazed how this sounds on LS and Khorns. Yeah, LS have bass with this power and currrent. Remote control, milled aluminum, heavy and can be used as a weapon should you misplace your 9mm. Extremely well built, 9/10 condition, balanced inputs. This is a serious piece of kit. OE box. $975 + shipping
  10. Late 1970's, Denon of Japan DP790 Direct Drive turntable. Remarkable conditon complete with cover. No arm, no cartridge as these have been sold. Possibly a nice start to a rig where you choose your own arm/cart. $175 I also have - 1x Ortofon M15E Super amd 1x Ortofon MC20. Both are mounted in the original Denon headshells that came with the table. I would like to sell all at once but would consider parting out. The carts have been stored away with their protective shields over the stylus. Cannot say how they operate but know they played many years back. Offers for the Carts, please - or with turntable - $350 for the bunch. Thanks
  11. Slept alone eh? THAT may actually be funnier and even more Klipsch Community worthy. Well done-- Well he does know my wife.Off to Atlanta next week for the quarterly beatings at the mothership and then out to the forum recommended Inn of the Mountain Gods with the family for spring break. Hope there is snow for the kids. Having to muse over potential opportunity to move to the east coast as in FL. So you spent all these weeks building and perfecting your fence building skills only for the next owners to enjoy the fruits of your labor? At least we have QC documentation here in th Community should inspectors pose any questions. Hope the new tenants appreciate your efforts.
  12. You know Big Stew what they say about not being able to chew - its the root of all evils. (Sorry)

  14. THAT is funny stuff. Klipsch Community worthy for sure. And no one was harmed in the telling of this episode.
  15. My sister, Annette Gordon, lives in Payola and bought and restored the old circus mansion if you are familiar with that?Roger[/quoteI am familiar with that. My son was a LEO in Paola when first out of the academy. About 15 miles straight south of me.
  16. KC area - 20 miles W in KS. About 10 miles from the Legends shopping area, NASCAR track, Cabelas and about every chain restaurant I can name.
  17. I'm a motel kind of a guy, as is the wife. No, the BMW bike is actually like a BMW car - on any road. If it Had to be a Cadillac it would be a CTS -V. It's actually a overly large sport bike when stripped of the top and side cases, a 3 minute job. Six of the smoothest 160hp you can imagine. Three power modes, traction/launch control, of course Brembo/Bosch ABS, cruise, heated grips/seats, GPS/satellite radio, etc. Funny now that I have retired I ride less than I did when working. Go figure. The Hope run will be nice as we travel around Ark. 2-3 times each year. The absolute best roads within easy reach of KC.
  18. Ahh - another with "twin titaniums". That was the secret weapon I was keeping from TwistedCrank describing riding m bike to Hope! (Don't tell him the real secret is 2-wheel, 6 cylinder BMW power).
  19. Bella, I hate using this thread to be a shill for an amp I have for sale on another site but have you thought about a hybrid integrated amp? Gives you a touch of tube flavor in the preamp section and solid state MOSFET for power. My particular piece from Valve Audio is dramatically overkill for any Klipsch model at 200 watts but you might be shocked how smooth it sounds on KHorns. I use 4x - Amperex 6922's for preamp and it provides a smooth listening experience. And a remote. Built like a brick crap house in South Africa. You will never want for more power no matter what flavor speakers you bring home. Sorry for carping this thread.

He was mostly all audio related when he posted in the early years. You know this entire forum was mostly about audio, way back when. Although I have less than 600 posts I've been here, on and off, since 2003. Bought my first Klipsch speakers, 1977 LaScallas, brand spankin' new from the factory. Thought this forum was a pretty cool spot - talkin' Klipsch, audio learning more about both. Couldn't post for a few years due to a password snafu and gave up for a while. Many, many names are no longer here for many reasons I'm sure. But how some of these posts are turned and twisted I can see why. Seems our "electronic social society" has emboldened many to be more than what they really are. I don't know about this forum anymore but I do know one thing - I enjoy my KHorns played through some glowing glass sitting back and reading the soap opera known as the Klipsch Community. Pull up your boots, wade through the mire and you might find a topic on Klipsch speakers. Just maybe ---
  21. that quote is a rip off on Ohio weather :)RogerAnd KC weather I might add. I would guess many other locals as well.70's here Sat, Sun, Moday; 40's today, 60's remainder of week. A very easy winter so far. Hopefully we sneak through March with no ice/wet, heavy snows and we are good to go. April's usually very nice with a few hiccups along the way. Then May with enough confidence in the weather to bike down to Hope.Man, that's a lot of pedaling! ;)Roger Big, strong legs. Just pace yourself.
