He worked at the Klipsch factory from '70-'78, when was Andy (HDBRBuilder) there? ---------------- Andy said he worked there from 76-83 in a previous thread.
  2. in his book, The Life...The Legend on page 180 it says another speaker of Paul's, virtually unheard of, has a brief and interesting history. the speaker was handmade by Paul and he wanted Valerie to have it. it had no name, and Paul asked Valerie what she thought it should be called. about the size of a Heresy, the speaker was one that Paul was just experimenting with. Valerie thought for a moment and said, lets call it "The Little Bastard". he really liked the name and it stuck
  3. Gilbert, could that be you. Congrats!!!

If you're talking about buying parts from this guy, I've got bids for xovers and horns. Figure I can get woofs and tweets anytime. Would much rather get em box and all, but whatever. So far as lil Beth, she's mad at me again. Kids- don't know what I did this time. Michael ---------------- Michael, think about how much you want to spend on these xovers and horns and put your max. bid in with 30 seconds left in the auction. bidding early gives other bidders time to bid higher. snipe man snipe
  6. there is only one thing that could make these look better. a piece of pie slice logo.

Obviously he doesn't get it, you would think with over 100 feedbacks he might have learned a little something. I would email him to tell him he is an idiot but he probably wouldn't grasp the concept anyhow. ---------------- i did e-mail him and he seriously doesn't get it. here is his name and e-mail Alan Embry pryineyes@hotmail.com
  8. i emailed nomadinca when he was bidding on the single corn the first time around and asked him why would you bid when there is 7 days left. he told me to mind my own buisness and that he was going to be the winner because he was going to use auctionsnipe.com. i said that was the point i was trying to get across was to bid at the end with minutes left. some people just don't get it. now he just ran up the decorators by 200 bucks
  9. i am interested in the heresy. i have a single 1977 in walnut oil and a spare K-77. let me know
  10. Scott, congrats and the most important thing is that they arrived in mint condition. i have a set of 71 (J) corns, same year as your Model H with the 15 inch woofer with the letter K-33 P . i read a post on this site that they used the letter P & B back then. P = Paducah, Ky and B = Brownsville, Tx. i guess the oringal boxes do work well to keep them unharmed. see ya

  12. Gilbert, i think maxg was talking about the decorators. just my 2 cents, i think you should get the belles and leave the decorators to me. i have a mint set of 77 belles in w/o that are never going to leave the house.

  14. i have a set from 84 you can USE until klipsch can get you some new ones. i really don't want to sell them if they are not going to be available anymore. email me your info.
  15. ebay # 5733532411 for sale in Nashville, Tenn.
  16. Charles, please don't be upset with me, all i was trying to do was to bring awareness to members not to run up the price against each other. if anyone followed the auction of the pristine 71 Heresys or Model H's last week, ebay user STEVEFTH (2) bid 20 times the first 2 days of a 10 day auction and ran the price up to over 600 dollars and then retracted all of his bids and said he put in the wrong bid amount. good luck i hope you win. also i came across a single Model H with these componets inside. K-77 - K-1000 with K-55V - K-22 and crossover Type 4 R . could be the same componets inside this single Cornwall. back label is faded and no stampings in the wood . anyone know what year this would be.
  17. so what year is it 59 - 60 - 61 ? and if the woofer is a 12 inch does that mean the 15 on the label is the color of the grill cloth

  19. its a 10 day auction people, quit bidding, your just running the price up. sorry Charles, i mean frzvin, i just had to say it
  20. it also looks like it could have the K-1000 horn for the midrange.
  21. looks like a 12 inch woofer or am i seeing things.
  22. I finally took off the back cover. this is whats inside. Model H in walnut K-77 - K1000 with K-55V - K-22 and the crossover type 4 R the back label is faded and no stampings in the wood. what year would this be ?
