I have experience with every type of wood finish currently available and I could not disagree more strenuously with the advice given in this thread.  Even with my experience, I would not attempt to "repair" this almost undetectable flaw.  For the purpose of this discussion, it would be reasonable to equate the lacquer finish on one's speakers to the clear coat on an automobile.  I would not use any product or technique that would not be appropriate to subject your Mercedes to.  If I was to do anything it would be to apply a quality carnuba wax.  This may result in an acceptable improvement and is least likely to do harm in the hands of an amateur.

Having said that, it is up to the OP which internet stranger he is willing to trust with potentially damaging his sizable investment.

Absolutely agree with all of the above.  Any type of oil is a very poor choice.

If it's a brand new amp then I would also take into account that all the components need to settle in, not just the tubes. Also some capacitors can sound shrill at the beginning and need some time before they sound "round". But if you suspect the tubes, then the small preamp tubes and their change often cause the biggest differences in sound. But I personally just would let it play for several months.
I agree with everyone who mentioned it one should stick to the factory specifications. A too high idle current stresses all components.

Not so sure I agree about the capacitors "settling in", but otherwise I would say 100 hours or so will be just fine, and agree with the rest of the above post.  Enjoy.

ACCURACY of words makes a difference. Maybe not to you, but especially to people who come here from other forums to read about Klipsch stuff.

Claude, what was it you said a few days ago about arguing with a fool? It still holds true, obviously…

I’m looking for a wood cabinet for my recently purchased Scott LT-110 tuner.  Based on information I have found - this tuner is the Wide C chassis (same as the 222b integrated amp, etc…).  Let me know if anyone has a cabinet available.  Thank You.

    sent you PM

have you done some kind of testing to confirm this statement?  if so can you post the test or some type of info to back up this claim?

Of course there hasn't been any testing, because this is purely BS misinformation.  The DE120 driver used in the Crites CT120 and the DaveA SMAHL are the clearly superior drivers.  The following two gentlemen actually HAVE done the testing, and HAVE the info to back it up.  @ClaudeJ1  @Dave A

Dam what a fool I’ve been …… !!!  thinking I bought my McIntosh C50 because it has important features and great build quality and that I believe it provided great sound reproduction and to find out instead that “although it isn’t bad” it was about “status symbol” and to “impress guest”.

    miketn 👍🤪

    Thank you.
